Not trying to change the subject but has anyone heard the progress of the Shatley lawsuit against the county?
We really have two candidates indirectly involved in lawsuits against the county and the sheriffs department. They both have baggage.

I'm not a Democrat. There is no denying that when Howell placed thst call to dispatch that fateful night he forgot to include the info that his neighbor was hearing and sight impaired.

You democrats are trying to find trash on Howell. That's what you do best. Talk to some of the people that have worked with Buckaroo over the years and see how sorry he is. I guess when he becomes sheriff he can bark orders from his chair, or do the disappearing act he's so well known for.

Sources had him leaking the story long ago as a fact. For consider this to bring it up at this time leads me to my question of his employment.

Youre right, the story was starting to leak out before the paper picked it up. The first that broke was the story of Hendrix on the field trip. And that brought out references to him being suspended at the hospital. The newspaper article didnt hit for almost 2 more weeks.

The paper..hmm consider this - (And sorry Fins I like to assume some things just as you do) - assuming Jack was correct in guessing my place of employment then I would be in a unique position to actually know who leaked information but yet then you would have to wonder about the ethics of releasing that information and whether you could trust the word of the person who provided it. So you are back to the drawing board.

Some of things you say you remember puts you in the same age bracket as Bucky so since you are obviously not inexperienced with modern times and out of touch then the same could, and does, apply to Bucky.

There was plenty of reason for him to do it, he was worried about making it through the primary. And you didn't mention experience but you did mention that Absher's age bothered you. In this instance young = inexperienced and immature; older = experienced and mature.

Slow down, you are mixing two things to try to twist what I said. I said ten years for someone to be elected and serve as sheriff isn’t a long time. I said nothing about how much experience someone should have. You are bordering on intentionally lying. As for if Howell was involved or not involved in the Hendrix article, you are just spreading a rumor to bad mouth Howell. There is no proof he did so. Many people knew the article was coming out. Besides, Hendrix was so far behind, there was no reason for Howell to do so

Fins you said 10 years isn't long enough but that's about how much experience Howell has and a good portion of that was with the park service. He has had very little supervisory or administrative experience and has made some very bad decisions in the past, with his role in the Houck shooting standing out as one of those. I've also heard that he may have been the one responsible for leaking the Hendrix story to the press just before the primary. He was bragging about the fact that there was an article coming out days before it was released from the paper. I'm tired of back stabbing and corruption like the Puchanan administration. I want someone with experience who will do the job, do it right. You say age is important, well I say Howell is too young, ****y and immature as evidenced by some of his decisions. I don't want to elect someone who is going to run a dirty campaign. If he is willing to run a dirty campaign, what else will he do?
