The black suv's were approved in last years budget. But rickey got them in black instead of white like the others.

There were policies in place at the sheriffs office. You cant operate without them. Bufurt and rickey spent 20K getting a company to basically reprint them. We covered this months ago but I guess it got lost in the excitement.

If they had any experience they would not have had to pay for some.

I know the Sheriff's Office signed a contract with at least one consulting company to help in organization and to set up internal operating policies. I'll bet that did not come cheap.

Why are they black? Our units have always been white. Maybe they belong to the County of Ashe. One for each of the corrupt.

These would have been ordered before last week. I’m still checking to see who OKed them.

They did not have the personnel to fill the units they had last year. They were decorating fire departments with empty Sherriff cars last year. I hope they have hired enough folks back to need new units. We were really under staffed at the end of January.

Yep, I noticed the 4 new black explorers in the parking lot . I wondered who authorized that purchase too .
