Slap fights are never much of anything. That was the point, Timmy

Not much of a slap fest, when the facts are laid out in plain sight .

I think I’ll pour a drink and watch the slap fight that’s about to commence.

Red it's simple. Keep up with me if you can. IF YOU"RE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR EMPLOYER OR THEIR ACTIONS, FIND ANOTHER EMPLOYER. Wow see how simple that is

Before the panthers started there were a lot of skins fans in this part of the world. But not so many any more. I’ve got a feeling the boy outed himself.

Seems like there is at least one John Riggins fan left.

Fins raises a great point, tbh. Redskins fans are as few and far between as Jags and Cards fans.

How many Redskin fans are there any more?

Your coworkers shouldn't have a problem figuring out who you are Red airing your dirty laundry about your job on a public forum. The best thing you can do is follow the advice Timmy just gave you.

Company, corporation or whatever. Wake up, go to work, do your job, keep your mouth shut , come home, get your pay check at the end of the week. Nothing more nothing less. Why try to make more out of it than it really is.

Things aren't like when my Grandfather started as a mail boy for Hanes and worked up to be a manager (he had all the jobs in between).

So I've worked at AEV before. I don't currently and haven't for the last 13 years or so.

I suspect the main reason they chose someone who had been with the company less time than you is that there are probably several perhaps many people who have been there as long as you have. Each of those people have grudges and friendships with many other people in the facility. 10 years worth. Promoting someone that is relatively new means they have less personal attachment to the other people which means the company probably hopes means they will have less prejudices in resolving issues in the future.

AEV isn’t a company, Tim. It’s a corporation. There’s a massive difference.

They could also pack up and leave whenever they want to. What a blessing that would be, yes?

The hick-speak in this thread is unbearable. Want a leg up? A promotion? Go to school. Improve yourself and your chances. Better yet - move. Go someplace with more job opportunities. There’s no such thing as head janitor.

Today's companies are not run like companies of yesteryear. That's what it basically boils down to. I see it everyday.
