We'll see if they stay in the market, they've asked to increase rates again, and it's not been approved. I'm not sure how anyone affords to use it anyway, the deductibles are so high you might as well not have insurance......

Health insurance sure doesn't follow that mold. Blue cross is the only company standing in the way of Obammie care crumbling down.

Most companies bump prices 10% annually.

4% increase 3.5 years in the future is a pretty inexpensive renewal. If I was a provider I'd be questioning if this was an acceptable practice. I doubt you could get anyone to offer a bid for services now which would start in 2020, but you could open up the contract for bidding just to be transparent.

A 4% increase seems pretty cheap.

Didn't Blue Ridge Medical at one time have one stationed at the River view Community Center during daytime hours?

Sullivan doesnt want to get stuck with a building that bremco could not sell. I still contend they need to put a unit in the upper part of the county. Maybe Lansing or on 88.

I watched the commissioners meeting Monday but have not read anything about this in the paper - the commissioners are considering extending the ambulance provider's 6 year contract that ends in 2020 for 4 more years to 2024 with a 4% increase for those 4 years. The topic is slated for their next meeting on Sept. 6.
