Buchanan was sheriff at the time and had sworn an oath to uphold all laws. Also, he already had a track record as a liar and a bully that thought he was above the law. So you are trying to compare apples to French fries.

Hmm FINS looks like your contacts at the courthouse have let you down. The SBI was there all afternoon in interviews on the Paul Blart case. Looks like Horner took it upon himself to review the situation before the Sherriffs office requested it.
