And honestly, if you haven't gotten the vaxx by now, you don't deserve it. Better people in this world without access deserve it. My mom died last month from Covid. She was anti-vax. I'll miss her, but it was her own stupidity that killed her, and she deserved to die. Can't fix stupid.

I think you should kill as many of the kids as possible.
Since the new variant is 1000 times more communicable (akin to chicken pox) the thing to do is prevent kids and anyone from wearing a mask so that everyone can catch and they can take their chances at Ashe Memorial.
Funny how the disease evolves but common sense does not.

Well they haven't even made their decision yet. So you are putting horse before the cart. You are assuming. You know what they say about that. Right? If they make the decision to make them wear mask then keep your kid home?!

Doesn't make any sense in masking our kids and punishing them.
They all have been playing sports and in close quarters all summer.
It's all political. What's the point in vaccination if you still have to wear masks? Because the vaccines are fake and don't work. All summer no one has to wear masks. Now we're right back to a communist way of treating children. They can play soccer and football face to face but have to In school.
Not happening!!!!!
Have the teachers wear masks that's fine. Kids shouldn't.
Fight for our kids well-being and freedom. Speak up parents come on! Don't be sheep. Think deeply on what's going on here. Bull sh�

Billy, I agree that just saying decent isn't enough to answer the question. Right now I think we have a pretty good school board. All are former educators except one. He however is married to a former educator and has children. One has a doctorate degree. Of course, the new superintendent sets in on the meetings to give her two cents. Which I don't think she has been here long enough to give any knowledgeable insight for our schools. That's just my two cents.

I don't think we have a school board election this year. But Governor Cooper wants everyone in K-8 schools to wear mask indoors but I still think it will be up to the school district to decide.
The updated StrongSchoolsNC Public Health Toolkit is aligned with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and American Academy of Pediatrics guidance, which urges that everything possible be done to keep students in schools and emphasizes continued masking. The Toolkit says schools with students in kindergarten through eighth grade should require all children and staff to wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Schools with students in 9th through 12th grades should ensure that anyone who isn't fully vaccinated, including students, wear a mask indoors.
This guidance is effective July 30th and local school leaders are responsible for requiring and implementing protocols in the StrongSchoolsNC Public Health Toolkit in consultation with their local health departments.
