Doesn’t AP&T have 100 separate award categories? Like, “Best Nail Salesman”, “Best Cashier”, “Best Janitor”, “Best Independent Spoon Salesman”...? It’s always been a laughing stock but moreso now.

I think I will respond to bullie on their post. Bullie you are more then welcome to post your opinion or topics. When you post either you will get differing opinions. You need to lose the attitude that a couple of people are running the show on goashe. I noticed that over 24 hours passed with no responses to your post. Online anonymous threads are not the Ruth class at the baptist church.

I agree that the Ashe Post and Times Best awards is a joke, always has been always will be. Basically they accept whatever someone writes in whether or not the person or business actually fits that question.

At the same time I've known Donnie Johnson for a couple decades, and I believe he is a fair and good man. I don't know the hospital CEO, however CEOs asking employees to give good reviews is nothing new and while you might consider it underhanded, it happens in all businesses.

The thing is venting here might be helping you with your anger issue some, but it won't help resolve the problem. If you truly have a problem with the CEO. Then the person you need to talk to is the CEO. If that's not possible then go to HR and talk to them. Continuing to bad mouth your superior will only lead to one end, and that's your eventual dismissal. That's true no matter where you work. Hiding behind an assumed name here won't help, they will eventually figure out who you are and you will eventually vent to the wrong person who will alert them. So my advice if you've got a problem go speak to them directly. Tell them how you feel, if some action they did you felt was wrong tell them in a constructive manner. Then understand they are the CEO you are not. They may or may not adjust policy based on your input.

The three regulars who get on here, if it not your topic or concern, you try to shut it down. Its a sad life that you have. Hope you are retired or work for family. Like your opinion is more important than others and think you know everything even though you couldn't be working based on your time on this site. And you education level means that you work for family or are retired because your life is goashe.com and nothing short of bullies.


Everyone should be able to voice concerns.

This is an anoymous sight that both of you feel like you spend most of your time telling others what your think, but obvious don't understand that others have the freedom to post. No one cares what you think. You only care about your topics. Every else needs to stop or a disgruntled employee. Easy to say when you don't work for either and know less facts than most. Pretty sure you would be fired from most jobs and were that disgrutal employee.

You think you can say "troll" and that will stop it. You don't have to be a 24/7 lover and poster like the three of yo.

Most people here and post their frustrations and the CEO of the hospital and the Superintendent of schools are terrible and both of them care very much about this site. It gets stuff done. Sorry, but it does.

So, it works. Hundreds of people read and even though, few facts are true, it makes people to think and then do their own research.

Best of the Best is a joke. Just look, at who go awards. There is the worst teacher knows in Ashe county got voted the best and the 2nd runner up was not even a teacher. The orthodontist that got best of the best is not even an orthodontist and Sponsored the Best of the Best and has gotten to all of you because you all run to Heels09.

If people are unhappy with the hospital, let them post. I know for a fact some hate working here and are bullied. They are good employees, but not on the CEO's team. Yates and Lambeth are exactly the same. Not qualified and yet got their job and making the big money and have no support from any of their staff. Ask anyone.

The CEO asks Senior Leaders to post good reviews on her behalf.

She tells hospitalist to keep patients in the hospital when the census is low.

She is a evil person and has to go.

If you remember, last time this subject came up, a little research told us the OP was a disgruntled employee that had been reprimanded for poor performance. I suspect it’s the same employee.

Funny the employees I know are happy there. The hospital was voted the best place to work in Ashe. I'm sure that was by the employees. Passed up for a promotion? Like Afic said, did you get wrote up again? Seems you were given some great input about the board. Start there!

Fairplay has a reasonable suggestion. I'm not sure when the last employee perception survey was conducted at Ashe. I'm also not sure if any of the current Hospital Board members are on this site. Donnie Johnson is the current Board Chair. He has a strong HR background and served as a strong leader of the Ashe County school system. I don't have Mr. Johnson's e-mail address but you should be able to find it, or at least his mailing address. I doubt the Board would meet with a group of employees, the Board's role is not to manage operations on a day to day basis, but to develop strategic direction for the organization. Human capital is a valuable resource for any organization, if the Board is seeking information regarding turnover, vacant positions and employee satisfaction,and establishing goals for management to obtain relative to those metrics that is the appropriate level of oversight they should strive for.

There always is two sides to each story. Yours compelling as it is, is just one person. Mentioning others in your story is not the same as more like yourself stepping up. I like the advice Fairplay gave you.

If you have problems with the CEO, call one of the board members. Or better yet, email them, and ask if you can speak to them freely, without concern of retaliation. Open a new gmail account, and archive any emails that are sent or received. Then, encourage as many employees as possible to do the same. Abuse is not an issue the Board can ignore.

The CEO of the hospital has went off the rails again. She thinks all staff is trying to get over on her. She has made the employees so scared to say anything or else she will make her lackeys and HR fire them regardless if there is a reason or not. I have heard her say so many nasty things about so many people because she virtually yells all the time and she is heard down the hall. She talks about the staff so nice to our faces but is vicious behind our backs. I have seen her embarrass managers so often, it is sad..even though they might deserve it. She screaches at her assistant and the senior managers and treats them like fools. Also, I am so tired of hearing that she was the savior of the hospital and it will close if she leaves. She might know money but she doesn’t understand nothing about how to treat people. I have been a medical professional for many years and she is the worst tyrant I have had the displeasure of working for. She isn’t from here and she needs to go back to what ever level of **** she spawned from.
