Not until you have a need for ambulance service anyway - at that point you might appreciate what they do and how they do it.

Farmer28

That's where you are wrong Clod - it should be the business of every taxpayer to know how their tax dollars are being spent and whether the service being provided, such as Sullivan's, meet the state and local requirements and do an adequate job.

Personally pup, I could care less how Mr. Sullivan runs his business or what the county does or doesn't him. It's none of my business.

Sullivan's final bid for the six-year contract submitted just minutes before the board went into executive session to discuss the contract prior to voting was $5,704,961 to provide three four-wheel drive ambulances.

What part of the article don't you understand? "Three four-wheel drive ambulances". If you can get past your illiteracy issues maybe you can read the article, moron...

Neither one of you have provided a contract or a news article that says there will be 3 units running 24/7. You are both trying to make something say what you want it to say. Now continue to amuse me.

2 paramedics per unit, three units per day, 24/48 shift = 18 paramedics

underdog2

I dont see where it says they will be running 3 ambulances 24/7. Where do you see this? In your mind?

Ashe Medics, the county's new ambulance service provider, finally has a home.

On Mar. 6, Craig Sullivan, who owns and operates Ashe Medics, purchased the former Blue Ridge Electric Membership Cooperative property on Mount Jefferson Road, near the intersection of U.S. 221.

"It's a really great facility and was a good deal," Sullivan said. "It's convenient to both towns (Jefferson and West Jefferson), which is good for response time."

Sullivan said the facility will house a minimum of six ambulances, 18 paramedics and general office staff.

Sullivan said he will purchase three new ambulances through West Jefferson-based Southeastern Specialty Vehicles, and may also purchase two used ambulances.

and underpants that legendary status you claim is only in your mind, boy...
