I've been treated at AMH ER, inpatient, outpatient and at the urgent care a number of times, as well as taking family members for treatment at the ER and urgent care. Medical and nursing care have always been great! I'm grateful to have this hospital in my community.

Very impressive HCAHPS scores. Congrats to the Hospital.

Medicine is not an easy field.

They should have asked was the patient misdiagnosed.

I don't know about the one here, but I've never heard of a good experience at a doc in a box in other places. I've talked to people that have gone to the one in Boone on a weekend, and tried ones when on vacation. And in every case they were either incorrectly diagnosed or given a treatment they didn't work, and they all had to go see their regular doctor when they got back home or regular hours rolled around.

Hope this one is better, but I'd say odds are against it.

I'll bet that can be worked on. I'll copy this page and send it to the ADMIN and Joe Thore.

The lady that took care of my son was very nice and easy going on him so no complaints there. But one thing that got me was the medical tray kits that are packed and sterilized and set to them from the Hospital that were mislabel or missing needed tools.

What exactly was your concern with "doc in a box"?

Dont forget about the doc in a box beside the ER and hospital.

Had to take my son there Tuesday to get stiches after a accident at school and wasn't impressed at all.

They've made a lot of improvements since Novant took over.

There are a lot of moving parts in the ER. It's nice to see Ashe finally improving.

The only bad thing about any ER is the wait time. You might get called back pretty soon but you can count on a 2 or 3 hour visit for what would seem to be a pretty routine thing for a hospital. This is true for Ashe, Watauga, Forsyth, Baptist, or any other ER that I have been to.

I don't know anything about the 500k. I'm bragging on the staff, they were wonderful. I'm glad the new management is bringing in new doctors.

They have improved.

A sign in the emergency room at AMH says " If you have not been seen in fifteen minutes - come back to the front desk"

The one in the Watauga E R says " This is April 2015"

So do you feel the 500 grand helped along with a new management group?

Very impressed! I was recently a patient in the emergency room and the nursing staff were awesome! I can't say a bad thing about this hospital! Big improvement from the past! So excited knowing that we have such a great facility here in our little town! Keep up the good work!
