Pork Chop, the difference in myself and you, is I understand when it’s the right time to draw blood and when it’s best to wish someone the best. One doesn’t contradict the other.

Biased? How so? Why did you stop posting as proudnative?

The truth was biased reporting......of course it was. I am sure you GOBs would like things to be reported your way. Sorry ...not going to go that way. Graft and corruption keep getting noticed by the public. Good luck getting any of your peeps elected next time.

I’m sure they can do better than the biased reporting before.

So Ashe County’s “check” on local government is now in the hands of two kids who just graduated college? Wonder what happened. The most capable writers were either laid off or quit?

geez, what a whiny beotch. Adam has taken some strong criticism here over the years for some of his articles, but he always stood by his articles and opinion pieces and did so under his own name name. I dont know if the criticism made a difference or not, but over his tenure his skills as a reporter obviously grew. He did what he could with small town news and working for an outlet with a very limited budget. You missed the window of opportunity to critique his work. Have some &*cking class now and either wish him well, or hold your tongue.

Lol I see I struck a nerve. Easy Tigger's blood. Why the visceral hate? I have nothing but respect for the reporter in question. I'm certain the Navy imparted him with the highest level of training as a keyboard warrior. And I'm also confident his block quote style of reporting with clumsy transition sentences will serve him well in his next profession as a court stenographer. If only he spent half as much time contributing to his paltry four story a week quota as he does trash talking other reporters in an online message board he would have probably been a memorable or recognizable reporter. Instead, we are left to assume what might have been. All because he was too lazy to get out of the bleachers at the local football games like a real reporter.

Good luck Adam! I will never forget your kindness to me when it was discovered that my wife was cheating on me and I had a learning disability that ruined my career. Let's grab a beer one day.

Ha .... besmirching his name. You must be the stupid mouth breather. The sports one wouldn't bother. But you .... trying washing your clothes ... brushing your teeth ... showing up for work on time ... holding down a job ... moving out of your mommy's basement ... breathing with your mouth closed. You see, when Adam put out the word that he was leaving, people wish him well. Weren't you fired ... oh I mean "let go"? People didn't wish you well, they just said ... well, yeah. HA HA HA HA!

Adam will be missed! He was great at his job and covered all the courts fairly. The new guys there seem to know what they're doing and should be good for the community, lets try to give them a chance before we judge them and remember they have to keep their opinions out of it. I'll be keeping my subscription

Adam has been an outstanding reporter for the Times, the Post and the Post & Times. We'll miss you. I'll still be subscribing for my weekly dose of Ashe County news. Keep up the good work!

I don't blame you for leaving, Adam. You can only bust your bottom for peanuts for so long. I always said you were the only one with any real talent at the JP. Hope you're moving up to better things.

Sorry to hear you’re gone. Well, unless it was your own choosing. Best of luck in future endeavors. Maybe it would be worth someone talking to the High Country Press about expanding to cover Ashe.

Hey Clif, I'm no longer with the paper (as of Friday), but I'm the only one who you could have "known for their entire lives." I have my own views for sure, but worked hard to make sure they never seeped into my reporting (aside from opinion pieces anyway). As for knowing the other individuals who work there, you're obviously wrong. The gents who are writing for the paper now are both recent graduates who are not from Ashe County. They're hard workers and I believe they'll do their very best. Their editorial leadership in Boone is honest, and their pagination staff is doing a heck of a job with 40+ page papers since the launch, given the fact that the entire thing has to be built within a window from Monday afternoon to Tuesday afternoon.

The "new" paper is trash, as is their website. I regret buying one last week, 50 cents I could have just thrown into the street.

I wish someone would at least attempt to give them some competition. I would love to hear actual news instead of printing the same article on Christmas trees twice which these clowns did.
