I have read StolenValorBrahs original post a couple of times. I fail to see where he thinks he is special, or deserving. He is merely asking if anyone locally gives such a discount. So, Fins, what exactly is the problem?

I didn't say they should turn down discounts. I have a problem with anyone actively asking for a discount because they think they are special. Where's the discount for linemen working during a storm? Or for the roofers that repair hurricane damage?

If a business is offering a discount to veterans, why would a veteran turn it down? Ford is currently giving veterans or first responders $500. cash back on a new vehicle.

I don't know of any that offer a veterans discount.
I'd avoid Glenn's Auto Center at all costs.
I've had good work from Mike's Auto but the wait times are long usually. I miss Ryland Shepherd.....he was always affordable, always honest.
If you are looking for muffler or brake work I'd suggest the place by the Bowling Ally, had good results there.

Are there any mechanics in the county who offer discounts for veterans? Not trying to get fleeced by some jerk, just a no nonsense car guy with a nice appreciation of thanks for service rendered.
