aFicanados, Obviously you don't shop at the ABC store as much as we all thought. Either that or your can't count past 10. Whatever the case, No. Of course I am not a liar. I may love to shop but I will never buy your bull.

What scares me Hank is that ignorant people like yourself are allowed to vote. But we all noticed your attempt to change the topic because you were way over your head

There is already a criminal background check. Criminals don't go through the system to get their firearms. Not all that are mentally ill have ever been diagnosed as such. Like 58 said if you don't want own a firearm then don't. The ones of us that legally own them are just not wanting all our rights to do so taken away from us. The people that cry assault rifle when talking about AR-15s drive me crazy. AR doesn't even stand for assault rifle.

First of all, the liquor stores are under limits just like everywhere. Second, I've never seen 10 people in the WJ liquor store at one time in my life. You're a liar

You do realize that this is Ashe county, don't you? Most of us own guns and a lot of us have concealed carry permits. You can take your radical leftist BS somewhere else. If you don't want to own a gun, that's your right. But for those of us that do, that is OUR right and according to the constitution IT SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED

What scares me about this discussion is it would appear that aficionado is a gun owner. Now right there is justification for gun control especially mental and criminal background checks. Oo real scary!

My history book said the Nazis had a saying as they checked your papers. 'Its for your safety.'

The Gov does not have a legal leg to stand on ordering Churches to limit 10. As a matter of fact, I counted more than 10 in the ABC store. Obviously Ole Roy likes to drink. This is just a Dumacrat trying to exert his authority. He cannot set limit's on Churches while ignoring limiting other things.

Yes It did. I read the Post article when it came out. And clearly you know nothing about hunting or firearms that you didn't learn from a movie. You also obviously don't have a clue why the second amendment exists. It has nothing to do with hunting or protection. Now, stop trying to dodge the fact that the only difference in an AR from other firearms is the way it looks.

That didn't come outta the Post, and if you are a good hunter why do you need a semi auto in the first place?

Stop reading the NY Post. There were no AKs. They got that from crime scene photos, and the writer had no idea what he was looking at. Now, stop trying to skate past the fact that functional wise, these rifles are no different from models that are accepted as semi-auto hunting rifles.

Don't get me wrong, I am a firm believer in the Right to Bear Arms and I have a nice collection. I simply feel that more care should be taken in who has the right to own them.

The high-powered weapons also included a .308-caliber AR-10 rifle and an AK-47-type rifle - as well as four Daniel Defense DDM4 rifles, three FN-15s and other rifles made by Sig Sauer, according to reports.

No Benny, an AK was not used in Vegas. You are still misinformed. The Vegas shooter had over 10 AR-15's and 5 or 6 AR-10's. But let's not gloss over the fact that you tried to slip on past the part that these weapons only differ from popular hunting rifles because of their looks.

Oh Finny, I always look forward to your retorts. 'They' simply meant that both were used in the shootings. An Ak was used in Vegas, an AR in Sandy Hook and you can look up the rest for yourself.

Hank, the fact that you deny the laws and officials that you don't agree with because of their political ideology shows that you are the one that clearly doesn't understand the constitution or the bill of rights. Especially the part about Free Speech.

aFicIoNadoS

Oh Benny, you know the worst thing someone can do? Open their mouth and comment on something they know nothing about. First of all, the fact that you obviously think AR and AK are interchangeable by saying "they were used" shows you don't know anything about weapons. I don't remember a shooting where someone used an AK. But all you know is that the media has told you they are bad. You also don't know that the only thing differentiating these weapons from other weapons that are acceptable hunting rifles is the cosmetic looks. Aside from the look, they operate basically the same, perform the same, and can be used for the same tasks. Contrary to what you've been told by the liberal propaganda, plenty of people use AR's for hunting and competition.

To add to that, someone that actually knew what they were doing could have racked up much higher body counts with a Remington 870 and a S&W 357 revolver.

Dang Hank the more you talk the more ignorant you become. You need to get rid of all the sharp objects in your trailer so you want hurt yourself when Ruth kicks the bucket.
