I thought that still seems a little low. But I guess doable if the survey is kept short

They only agreed to the department heads at this time not all employees. Companies tend to charge by the number of surveys. So I am guessing $75-150 per person/survey???

But I'm wondering what $800 will buy.

If they actually got a reputable company to conduct the surveys there is no way of finding out how each person answered. Good companies that do this identify and mask answers that could possibly reveal identity.

I do wish we had a news source around here that has a set of balls and would dig into any witnesses that could prove the county manager or any member of the board of county commissioners made the statement if anyone in the ambulance service or the hospital said something negative about bufurt to fire them. They must have some serious reservations running around trying to quell anyone from talking about bufurt. They just showed how ignorant they really are. All of them.

The management of the hospital and the owner of the ambulance service should tell them to go screw themselves. Their employees are not county employees and the commissioners have no jurisdiction over them.

At the same time, the county department heads should remind the mouth breathers that even government employees are protected under the first amendment and any discipline brought on for speaking their opinion could result in a law suit.

This could get real interesting now since the county manager was informed by Roark and Rose to contact the county employees the hospital and the ambulance service if the said anything about the new moron they put in as sheriff they would be fired. REALLY what happened to freedom of speech.

Those that answer honestly may face retaliation if found out....

Maybe Roark needs to post his NGB-22

I think it shows how out of touch Roark and Rose are. This is common practice now. The flip side of this is that they don't take criticism well. They know the results will not reflect their opinion so they want to suppress the employees feedback.

Evaluations or surveys such as this are valuable tools for management and workers alike. I don't know how Roark could have served in the National Guard and not heard of such a thing. When I was in the Army, I was evaluated annually by those above and below me. And the highest I ever got was E-6. The promotion board seemed to be much more interested in what the members of my platoon had to say then they were in what my Lt. and Captain had to say. A promotion board can teach you more about dealing with people than any of the Army leadership schools.

Morons. Many places do just this to get a feel for how the management are performing.
