Sounds like everybody has something to say on all this Bull _ _ _ t that's going on in our county, but I've yet to see one person much less a group of people at the court house protesting! The reason crap like this goes on in small towns is very simple " All Talk No Action"!

I have a friend that lives in a neighboring county that called me this weekend and said Dog your county is the laughing stock of the county administration here, where on earth did they find this idiot sheriff? Then he tells me they cant believe we have a county commissioner that is now the maintenance man. When I told him how old he was he really started ribbing me. What a pure shame what they have done to this county.

I have gotten it on good word that the commissioners in neighboring counties are laughing hysterically at the 3 stooges. They are baffled that a commissioner would be hired as a county employee. And they think the sheriff is better than a sitcom.

Oh they were definitely meeting illegally. But Dan should have used his gmail account to communicate with his buddies.

No im pretty sure it was a set up just like all this bull crap . Im not saying you're wrong just saying that alot of closed door meetings with 3 commissioners which was illegal.

My understanding has always been that Dan was fired because he screwed up.

He used his work email to email his friends to state his opinion on how stupid Poe was. Even if his opinion was correct, that was valid grounds to ask for his resignation.

I heard Roark hasn't started yet and the Maintenance boys are running it just like always. I don't understand why it's taking so long to fill that Maintenance Supervisor position well Qualified people running it just fine. I noticed Roark bought another new truck to go with his collection of new vehicles. Screw the county once but twice come on people wake up just go back to when they fired 2 county Managers Dan and Pat they wanted them out so they would have control politically. What are they doing to create jobs ???? Excuse me they are creating jobs their firing people or changing their schedules and cutting pay so they will quit then they're are hiring people back with no experience typical for the 3 commissioners and Manager .

jscott, yes - I knew Ms. Foxx was Federal, however, she also has political pull within the state. I am a firm believer in building and using a coalition over the "go it alone approach."

N.C. Attorney General needs to be involved in this issue as well as several others here in the County. Here is the address that I am sending my letters & I would strongly suggest everyone else that is in disagreement, do the same.

Does anyone know if a petition can be used legally to change and challenge their decisions?

Has anyone considered filing a complaint with the ACLU over incidents (*unspecified) relating to schools, local government and other problems?

As a member of the ACLU & EFF, I may start a firestorm. Maybe if the County leaders had more to worry about than ruining the County over "little" issues that affect us, then we would be able to live in peace until the next election.

It doesn't matter if John Kilby is county attorney or not. It is not his job to keep the BOC and their puppet boy in line. He gives advice about the legality of issues that come before the commissioners if asked. Any communications between him and the commissioners collectively or individually is protected by attorney client privileges and protections. If someone has the time and is willing to make the effort, write a letter to the Attorney General with as much detail and timeline as you can. I wrote them about an issue about twenty years ago, and got a response in less than a month.

Foxx is a federal official not state, her ability to do much would be extremely limited.

If you could get the NC Attorney General to look into it, that would be another matter.
