I thought it could be a typo. The 8.3 million could be missing a zero? 83 million per year would make the numbers work out.

The dolphins sold for $1 billion in 2009 (I dont think that included the stadium). Steve Ballmer offered $2 billion for the clippers. So compared, the value seems fair given how much bigger dallas is than those. But if they could generate $10 million a year, it would take 320 years to get get your money back, without interest. Sure, revenue will go up. But i dont see it climbing fast enough to make that up.


There must be more money that isnt included in those numbers. Maybe the NFL TV money. I assume you know that the NFL is a collective and the TV money is shared.

I read this yahoo article that says Forbes values the cowboys at 3.2 Billion dollars. Then the article says the team clears the owners 8.6 million over the next five years. That's not a real good rate of return. Am I missing something? Here's the link to the article.
