Well if we stopped spending 500k a year on that stupid airport we might could lower taxes, or provide more funding for mental health or education. What's funny is my parents when I was in my early 20sl moved to Georgia as dad found work there he couldn't find here and lived there for about 20 years before his death.
The Feds helped build up a nice airport in a rural area just like here. It wasn't really needed, never really got the traffic it was suppose to. Eventually though the feds came and closed the airport and took all the electronics. So I don't know why they are flushing money down that hole. That's the problem with the feds you get them involved in any project and they have your strings.

Maybe higher powers than any other locally elected office holder. If what you say is true then a judge could not remove a Sheriff from office. Higher LEO powers, maybe, based on jurisdictional rules. I don't see local sheriff's successfully standing up against the FBI in a multi state issue, nor ICE in an immigration issue.

The duly elected sheriff of a county is the highest law enforcement official within a county. He has law enforcement powers that exceed that of any other state or federal official.

I don’t like early voting. It’s really hard to vote more than once with it

Early voting begins tomorrow across NC. I have seen nothing in the papers or heard anything about this on the radio. Is it going to happen in Ashe?
