Mainstream baptist have been corrupted by money and politics. They have left their roots and have no idea what their ancestors believed. They worship their buildings and pastors(and money) more than they do God.

No, I've seen some that knew how to make their case in a way that comprehended where the other argument comes from.

That will always be the case of a brain washed baptist. Now he is the one doing the brain washing not believing there is any other religion on earth but the baptists.

Chris didn't do a great job though, because he still wasn't capable of coming at the debate with an understanding of the other side's views.

There has been only one person to ever stick it out and argue their side of the baptist brain washing cult. That would have been chris.

Excuse me, I should have said Deist instead of agnostic.

Actually, this nation was not founded on in god we trust. It was founded on religious freedom and free thinking. In god we trust wasn't added until the 1950's. Some of the biggest names in the founding fathers were agnostic, if religious at all.

As they say......"Critical Thinking......the other National Deficit"

And as one has asked on this thread, does your church have in god we trust over the door?

Lets remember to vote for those that take a stand against evil this election. Our commissioners proudly took a stand by adding In God We Trust on the court house and was in support of protecting us with HB2. Our Governor has tried to protect us from Obama's godless agenda.

I agree. We are a nation founded on in God We Trust.

The baptists should be added as a cult.

I don't remember ever seeing where Trump has ever made a statement about his religious beliefs. I believe he did say at the beginning of this election that he has never asked for forgiveness. Or maybe he said he has never prayed. And when Bill ran for president, he and Hillary stated they are baptist.

This is like the last election when Franklin Graham removed Mormonism from the Billy Graham association's list of cults.

The hypocrisy of the baptist is amazing. If you think Trump is the lesser of the 2 evils then by all means vote for him. That is your right as a citizen. However I heard one minister say the other day that Trump was the only choice for Christians, when asked about morals of Trump and he said that God had forgiven his sins, but not Clinton's. Now, I don't care what your faith is, but that is as big of a lie as anything that the candidates have told. I mean really, a minister using a lie to justify voting for someone.

They are in denial. The Trump/Republican party left them out of the election this cycle. There is no moral candidate(if there ever was one). Like the old saying you cant polish a turd....you can't make either of these candidates a "moral" choice.

I'm reminded of the old joke where saint peter was giving a new arrival a tour of heaven. When they came up on one room with a closed door, Peter whispered, shhhh. that's the baptists. They think they are the only ones up here.

This is America and we have many religions and not all believe in Good. We have freedom to pick the God we want to believe in

Putting in God We Trust on buildings is not what we should have. Treating People equal no matter what their religion is what we should do

You bible thumping baptist need to understand that you are not the only people who believe in something other than your God

If you think having In God We Trust on our buildings will protect the county residents you apparently read different books than I do. It's been on our money for most of the last century and that's not saved us from a severe morale and ethical decline in the last 50 years as a country.

As for HB2 it didn't save you from anything, in fact it removed some of your rights but you probably haven't read it. It has far less to do with bathrooms and far more to do with other things than you might think.

Makes me think of this scripture:

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

"And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:22-23
