OK 6 or 8 people who care.

You are right..social media is an effective way to reach people. But not in your self centered world. People are laughing at your rants.

OnlyinAshe You think only 6 to 8 people are reached by twitter? I would encourage you to take a class on social media. If 6 to 8 people represent one political issue, do you have any idea how many people they reach? Then, is this group directing at the NC GOP....what groups. They can have a huge following in just a few days. Take a class. Sounds like they are a step ahead of you.

I think you are right. It is all quite humerous though.

I'm afraid that if you twitter this information you'll only get the same or 6-8 folks.

The County Manager was very familiar with the ETJ planning board rules and the responsibilities that the commissioners have in this process. I'm not sure all the names submitted by the Town board were approached to serve if selected. Does not really make any difference, the Commissioners will make the appointments they desire to from folks they have spoken to or who have made their desire to serve known.

If you live in the ETJ, give your name to the chairperson of the County Commissioners for consideration for the planning board on or before Aug. 2nd. The county commissioners will select 6 people. Per the state law.

I'm pleased that this is over and all the name calling and back biteing can be brought to an end. It's time to move on to new material and close this posting.

I have never played a witch on TV! I have been known to play one in real life though

Surely you don't think that such a "witch" would be offended by your mundane name calling, do you? Silly troll!

Nevermore you played the wicked witch in THE WIZARD OF OZ didn't you? Well I've got that bucket of water if you will just tell me where you are located! Sexist Pigger.

littleashe- what are you even talking about? I have never mentioned anyone's skin color. You need to talk to boycottwj about that. The fact that all of her posts were removed, and that you're now coming back to mention them just proves that you are indeed a troll, and one that likes talking out of his as* at that. I also have nothing against women; I happen to be one. lmao Do us all a favor, and at least act like you know what the hel/ you're talking about before you post. Oh, and I'd rather be a witch than an ignorant moron any day.

Nevermore I have been holding back but I have to say that you are just evil. You put down someone over their skin color. You are a sexist pigger, you attack women. Why does it matter what color a persons skin is or if they are a man or woman. You said a woman was ugly and old.

Someone needs to tell you that you are a witch. I just did.

TechJunkie: Your comments about the State of Georgia and the lack of ETJ made me take a look at annexation laws in your state. This article http://library.findlaw.com/...31974.html describes three methods that cities and towns in Georgia may annex land outside their incorporated limits.

There are some other interesting articles about municipal growth in Georgia published by the various institutions of higher learning in Georgia discussing the merits and pitfalls of municipal growth in Georgia if you choose to search for them.

Prior to the meetings with the county officials and with city officials please read the following, one which was suggested by another poster. This helps those who oppose ETJ become aware of the tactics used to TRY to push us back.

When you have time read about the delphi technique and think about what the city government has done.
I am sure the High Country council of governments has instructed them in the use of this technique. Most of us have noticed how regularly they attend meetings, even sitting at the front table at the high school, on the stage which speaks to the delphi technique. They had no business sitting there it was a tactic.

Also read this propaganda letter from 2005 and notice how many times the wording has been used in posts here and in some meeting. Someone from the NCLM is doing a little coaching.

As suggested by the OP it is most important to attend the city and county meetings.
