Parenting styles have evolved over the years, i wouldn't raise my kids as my parents did me, and i don't expect my kids to raise my grandchildren as i did them...

Dog, I'm surprised the number is that high. I read an article that pretty much said that every time kids moved up a level, (middle school to high school, high school to college, college to pros), only about 1% of athletes make the cut. I never tried to break that down, but figured that worked out a bit closer to .1%. Still, playing the loto seems just as good and doesn't include brain damage.

Once they are married they can run their home the way they see fit. If they ask for advice I will give it. However, I'm not just going to butt into their business without being asked. The cord has to be cut sometime. Again my parents are very much involved in my children's lives, but they don't tell us how to raise them.

I never said nor do I think I am any better than my parents or grandparents. Everybody is entitled to parent in their own style. My parents have never questioned my parenting.
