I told everyone this was going to happen 2 years ago. Your sheriff lied then and it's not the first time. An upstanding person does not lie straight to you and his community. Good ridens. I love being right. Yay me!! Idiots.

Sorry, I don't think it would be that tough to replace Williams. He's been fine, but he's been far from outstanding. He's just a bit too far behind the times to still be in the job. The tv show is a shining example of this. He actually thought that was a good idea. He didn't understand the modern world or how it would end up portraying the county or his department. In 1991, he would have been an outstanding sheriff.

As for the BOC controlling the replacement, I hope any appointee is smarter than that. Once appointed, he has no duty to the BOC. And the quickest way for the BOC to screw themselves, is to start cutting the sheriff's budget.

James Williams will be hard to replace. He has always been an ethical and moral person. I am guessing the BOC will put someone in they can control and have to do their bidding.
