Hendrix for sheriff!

The fool is you.

The Commissioners never asked for a "resume", from any of the three candidates for Sheriff last December, and didn't get one. Besides a "resume" is not a cast in stone universally formatted kind of document document. There are dozens of books written on writing "resumes" if that is what you are looking for. The Commissioners, the County Administrator, and the former Sheriffs don't now and never have had "resume" forms to fill out or even guidelines for their job applications or interviews.
Furthermore, Elective office seekers do not have to provide a "resume" to be on a ballot or to be appointed, such as in the instance of the sheriff's replacement.

Obviously, Buchanan provided some kind of job history as one would expect. Sands thought his man Bucky was a shooin and flubbed it badly on his due diligence. All of the Commissioners had it, should have studied it and during the interview should have asked for clarification if they thought one was needed. I have no doubt that Buchanan would have provided any more details they asked for. The dumbSH*T Sands thought he could have a redo 5 months later. Nooooo. Go look on the ASCO website as I said before, to find a list of Buchanan's job experiences and personal references, if you want to contact them for the details. If you have any doubts or questions at this point it's on you to dig out the answers. Go for it, then come back here and report. Whining is for babies. Research is what adults do.

So all of you RESUME WHINING MANIACS are asking for something that doesn't exist, either in the law or in practice. PERIOD. END OF STORY.

And it's still true, Transplant that Bufurt wouldn't answer details about his work history. And stop calling that piece of crap he provided a resume. Nothing about it fit the requirements of a proper resume. The public wants answers, and your bumbling baboon won't give them. That will work for him for now, but it won't work come election time.

Nads, what a snob. You name drop and brag and taunt, but it is still true that Sands and the other commissioners reviewed his resume. Get down off the pedestal you put yourself on.

Liar, Buchanan doesn't have a resume. That piece of crap he gave the commissioners and the news paper is not a resume. Only a complete fool lists getting married as an accomplishment on a resume. And it did not include any work history. No one could track a work history or get references with that resume. Anyone that defends that document as a resume is a fool.

FairPlay, you don't have a clue.. the Commissioners did have his resume to review - don't throw your lies around

That's right. Go watch the video of the Commissioner's Board Meeting where Sands challenged Sheriff Buchanan to produce his resume (again) in open session. It was rude and crude. It was also outlandishly inappropriate, obviously Sands was goaded into it by the BANDS tribe, Out of the blue. No surrounding context. Did it only to try to embarrass the Sheriff. Buchanan said, Shame on you Mr. Sands.
So of course, Buchanan was indignant, as would any self respecting man. Buchanan held his ground and appropriately called out Sands for the rudness of the question. And said there had been ample opportunity to examine his resume and ask any questions about it in January. Sands only rejoinder was stammered, trying to pass off the question as one of general interest. Totally phony - transparently stupid on Sands part, just highlighting Sands extreme bias and bitterness in the matter.

I was really proud of Sheriff Buchanan standing up to this bully the way he did.

Buchanan got upset and literally could not get a coherent thought out when Mr. Sands asked him to give the citizens his resume in open session for one reason. He does not have one. Mr. Sands was doing what the electorate asked him to do. Make his resume public record.

Sands was just asking on the behalf of myself and others, you numb nut. Which is his job, talking in behalf of the citizens of Ashe and their concerns. It was embarrassing to watch your sheriff up there, stumbling around like a kid that got caught cheating on a test. LMAO

It isn't my place to call these references. I have worked in management and have had to call references before. I didn't hire the idiot. Does that make lazy? No it doesn't. Once again you make yourself look foolish. I never said the Sheriff of Ashe should have a law enforcement background. Hartley did not, but did a fine job. Bucky didn't need to file a resume. If the three idiots that appointed the fourth idiot had went on the recommendation of Williams, the county wouldn't be in this mess. Before you take my words and turn me into a Bucky supporter that isn't what I'm saying.

Hendrix my boy. Be prepared to be buried in 2018. You have zero creds with a majority of voters.

Hikingmommy - As I said, dates, Shmates. A resume is only a road map for digging deeper if one is so inclined. All of Buchanan's service and employment citations are out there for all to see and question. If there are no dates what pray tell is the difference. Think of it logically. OK just try, I know its beneath you. If there were dates to the day, just how is this going to help your fevered brain process his story any better??? So are you going to call up every agency and office he has already mentioned and verify the dates? Of course you aren't. So, then, if you are going to make those calls with the dates, and now you don't have the dates, well, go do it anyway. Believe me, dates will make no difference whatsoever. And call all of the named references too while your at it. Go find the truth you are so obsessed with, its all out there. You COULD DO IT. Lazy Kabit*chn, you have no clue and no real honest interest in researching this man. Lame brain whiner.

Consider this. Bucky Absher submitted NO resume, had one orally presented reference, JW, and had a crappy late coming interview. He basically screwed the pooch.

So are you gonna research all of fat Jimmy H.'s references. NO.
Meaning you're nothing but a lazy complaining punk.

Lets think on this. I see that Hendrix is a true blue Ashe Nativist. Big points right off the bat.
He got a Law Enforcement Certificate, which any halfwit can do, no offense intended to the other halfwits in the county. He really is desperate to mention that as an accomplishment.
He got out of the county for a stint as a truck driver in the military with no promotions. Nothing related to law enforcement there.
Hendrix worked off and on as a beat cop in West Jefferson. No actual law man experience there, checking parking meters and all.
Then he formed up a tiny company of one to patrol a local subdivision, open the gate whatever, for three years.
Then he made the bigtime and became "chief" of the Ashe hospital security team. No law enforcement there either. Directing traffic in the Emergency Circle, supervising floor moppers, having to calling real police for help with anything more serious than a missing cell phone. Doing that for the past 18 years!!! Basically a dead end job.
Oh yea. That's our man to lead the largest and most demanding and expensive law enforcement operations in the county?????
Terry Buchanan's extensive high level working life experiences at least prepared him for the job, so said the Commissioners. By any measure Hendrix isn't prepared to shine Buchanan's shoes.

So bring him on. I bet he can't string three words together that make any sense to most people. Well, you guys would find it meaningful.

Hendrix my boy, you don't have much to worry about in this primary! You are liked and well known, unlike your incumbent Buchanan who's and outsider that nobody likes. The voters will display this very clearly in the primary. Hendrix 2018

what is true

Well of course he got irate.. you would too if someone in Sands position embarrassed you in a public forum by acting like he hadn't seen the resume that was a childish stunt and he's just a sore loser because he lost the vote for Bucky)

I watched the meeting and yes he got irate when asked. It was clear Sands wasn't impressed with it the first time since he didn't vote for him. I would think being Sands had worked at the same office as Bozo he would know more about why he shouldn't be hired. However, the three that voted him in thought otherwise. Which I do believe will end their days as commissioners come election time.

There was no fit pitched. He explained that they had his resume and reviewed it at his interview. You are just spinning a tale. Sands was out of order in the context of that meeting to bring that up especially when he knew perfectly well that he had seen the resume!
