I never said anything about Mochen. But just because you have talked to someone doesn’t mean you know how their family is really doing financially. Your comments about their wives Jobs was an attack to try to distract from the reality that Bucky is likely to retire mid term.

Fins, you are wrong on this one. I talked to every candidate but Mochen on a regular basis. The times I have talked with Mochen turned me off from meeting with him again. Slimed is the way I felt after talking to Mochen.

You have no idea how they are doing. Maybe they are using up savings to get by. Maybe they are behind on bills, maybe they are living on credit cards, maybe they’ve cashed in retirement or college plans to keep their mortgages paid. Complaining about this would look bad for a candidate. It would make them look weak, even unmasculine. Just because they haven’t been going around complaining doesn’t mean that things aren’t tight right now. You’ve got more class than where you went tonight.

I think Mochen actually bought two or three tickets. Paying two or three hundred dollars to get your name posted 2 or 3 times in front of a mostly Democrat audience. Yep he sure knows our electorate.

Both have been out of work for months. I have heard no complaints from either. Obviously, neither is suffering. I am just posting things as I see them. Both Howell and Hendrix, Mochen and Absher bought tickets to last night's prime rib dinner. All of them or their people were there politicking for their candidacy.

Sassy, I expect better from you. You actually just suggested that both Howell and Hendrix live off their wives and could on a whim decide not to work any more. Seriously? That seems insulting to both men and their wives. It comes across as you grasping at straws trying to compensate for Bucky’s short comings.

I wouldn't underestimate the support Absher has.

Any of these candidates could walk off the job. Mochen has already retired in Florida. Absher has come out of retirement to serve with Hartley. Howell only works because he wants to. Hendrix as well. Their wives have great jobs. This idea that the next Sherriff needs to be tied to the job just does not float.

I think had the board of fools put bucket in as sheriff instead of bufurt this conversation would not be happening. Given what happened I think people have rethought the idea of bucket being sheriff given him being able to walk out and retire again at any time.

Did Absher ever even really have ambitions of being sheriff prior to Williams’ departure? It was framed as if he was a placeholder until this election when perhaps his second in command, whoever that was gonna be, would’ve run.

Maybe. But I think the whole fiasco that happened because of a sheriff retiring is making a lot of people want a sheriff that is willing to stay in office for a while. I think Bucky’s chances rest largely on Tuesday’s primary.

We will see if it’s a majority or not in November. I have more of a feeling you might miss this one.

Sassy does seem to be the tip of the sword when it comes to Absher support. Sassy thinks of the rest of his supporters as the silent majority.

RaeRae, Sassy is the only one I’ve seen that is supporting absher. It seems most of the rest are split between Howell and Hendrix.

CindyLou, all I can say is you better get your buddy Absher ready for whoever comes out of the primary. He should be worried.

Hey Rae, with the whole "Charlie Church" routine your candidate puts out there, he's starting to look like Buchanan Lite- all of the phoniness you've come to expect/ less of the mental instability.
You might want to reflect on just how "in bed" your candidate was during that particular administration before the honeymoon phase ended.

All this just makes me want to vote for him even more just imagine the but hurt if he were to get elected.

Raeford is spreading rumors again. No where has anything been said that Hendrix put something in his pocket or took evidence. There has been no official comment about what he did or why exactly he is being investigated. Raefrd is just repeating a rumor spread by the Bufurt supporters.
