Wrong, Have your sources state what Chapter and section they believe contains controlling law on this subject. They can't do it, because no such statute or code exists.

Those two smug sob's bufurt and Clayton rared back squashed everyone that got in their way as stated in the filing. Its time for them to suffer the consequences of their actions. They affected many lives in this county. I dont know how 2 commissioners and an ex-commissioner can show their faces in public.

aficionados, I couldn't have said it any better myself.. JR, the SBI doesn't have to investigate the jail commander if evidence exist.
Bucky & Hartley can obtain the evidence and decide whether she used the trustees for her own benefit. I'm curious to know if she rushed to sell, donate or get rid of the chairs after the wedding. If she got rid of them, it would indicate that she knew what she was doing was wrong and she was trying to cover her tracks..
Olejoe, you are right. I had only got down to #89 regarding the evidence against Buckys rehire, Sharon Price. I hadn't made it down to the other woman commander. But I see your point, it appears that she may have done stuff but it doesn't seem like they have the same, solid supporting evidence as they do with ms. price.
What I am curious to know is how Bucky & Hartley handles this situation (within their department) now that it's out. This is a good indication of how Bucky will handle the job as Sheriff, if he wins the election.
Will they sweep her wrong doing under the rug? Or, have they took charge and fired her?

I want to make one more point on this. The lawsuits were written by two law firms. One of them specializing in employee rights and discrimination. They werent typed up by the plaintiffs on their ipads. These firms know what they are doing and have very specific reasons for including all the parties that were included on both sides. While it may not make sense to the laymen, they do know what they are doing.

Also, you don’t think a kid having their mother falsely arrested and facing going to jail wouldn’t be traumatic? On top of that, the parent can’t work or earn an income for almost a year making life a struggle. Actually, what I’ve heard is she still hasn’t been able to get s job because the sheriff’s department hasn’t ever turned over the evidence (because doing so would admit Clayton trumped up charges and never had evidence) and her record hasn’t been cleared. Clayton and Bufurt ruined this family’s lives.
Part of me hopes every person named has to look that innocent little girl in the eyes in court as they try to defend their lies. The other part of me though, she has been through enough and doesn’t need to suffer through that.
No more mentioning the little girl. We leave her out of the discussion going forward

Jr, you are no attorney. Hartley is listed because he is sheriff when the lawsuit was filed. They are suing the county and the department of sheriff. So as head of that office, he is named. It’s the same as when. Bufurt was listed on the Houck lawsuit.

Jr you misconstrued my point in selling the airport, family central etc... Were you to read closely again the lawsuit spells out why Hartley was named in the suit as sheriff.
What I really want to point out is Fins and I told you all about the abuses happening in the jail. I would also point out that Kim went before the commissioners with all this information in an open meeting. They should have been named in this suit also.
Take note the suit accuses Yearick of destroying evidence of texts, and emails etc... This suit brings it all to light.

Hartley and Bucky can't investigate it, it would have to be the SBI. Since its a lawsuit against the Ashe County Sheriff's Office it would be improper for the ACSO to investigate, we don't need them repeating the same mistakes Buchanan made.
Hartley shouldn't even be named in the lawsuit, and naming him might actually hurt the lawsuit as no allegations of misconduct against him are made.
I'm not sure the 4 year old has standing as a plaintiff. I mean children are listed when parents are deceased etc, but her mother's still living and also a plaintiff, seems the mother is trying to get a double share compared to everyone else.
I'll be surprised if it makes it to court. It could but I'm sure the insurance company will try to settle outside of court as many of these events are well documented in the press, Buchanan was an idiot in boasting as he did of many things in the press. I think the case against him is the strongest.
I seriously doubt the county will sell the airport, ashe county park or family central to pay off any amounts not covered by insurance, after all who would buy them. The most likely remedy is that property taxes will rise.

Blubird if you keep reading you will find the woman you claim was doing an excellent job as chief jailer is accused of doing worse than Price.

There was one lawsuit filed in superior court. There are other suits that also will be coming like fins and I told you all. Notice in the federal suit the counties insurance company was named. The county may have to sell the airport, family central, and Ashe park to pay legal bills and pay awards.

I can't imagine them selling pizzas in jail. I wonder how long that had been going on in there? Federal Court ...lol. I have heard of others who say additional lawsuits are brewing.
