The building had been on fire at one time and then roof rotted off. jC Jenkins owned it at one time. In researching the dairy to find some link to mr. Wood stove.

Cooper you should go back even further in the title chain. Very interesting deed stamps from a couple that gave 198K at a private commissioners sale. They sold it to the Juanita trust for 10K. Then this trust sold it to the dairy from va.

I'm glad to hear it's a fireplace store.. with the name Hot Spot, I was thinking it might be some new hangout spot for teens or something of that nature!!!

I've been told it is the same person. You can drive by about anytime during the day and see two or three guys loafing outside smoking cigarettes. I don't understand the funding

What's the deal with the Hot Spot business across from the Presbyterian church in downtown WJ? Obnoxious looking remodel of a building that seems to be taking forever. Is it the same guy who's had 4 different fireplace stores in the past 7 years?
