A local airport is for only a very limited population,with more expensive toys!

I think the Airport is a waste of money, the parking lot is far better utilization.

They'll keep sinking more money into the airport until we vote out all these numskulls though. It's the county bottomless pitt, almost like it was used to give kickbacks to people.....

And while everyone looks the other way...we give more money to the airport.

If you don't understand the difference between a parking lot and a pointless sign, then you should have your voter registration revoked.

The parking lot is an actual service and I don't think anyone can deny that West Jefferson has inadequate parking, always has.

The In God We Trust and the vote to support HB2 are at odds though wit h the county wanting to be a tourist destination.

I find it hilarious that people are protesting the county spending $2500 on the courthouse, but don't seem to mind that they plan to spend $60,000 on a parking lot. I'm sure that small amount of money would have helped a lot more people.

Its a shame that those that staged a peaceful protest against this was verbally attacked by all these so called Christians.

Heels this amounts to just about everything else happening across the country. The in god we trust was only placed there for votes pure and simple. The religious aspect of it is coming from brain washed baptists that are too ignorant to come up with an original thought of their own, its preached to them by one man over and over each sunday.

Now I still maintain it makes better sense to replace in god we trust with "in dog, fins, and goashe we trust". Its funny, reading comments and listening to those complain about how the liberals are trying to ruin their county because they do not support In God We Trust on a stupid building. The more I listen the more I see the ignorance among those that support this. They truly believe that the only religion in the county is theirs. As a matter of fact, they believe that the only religion protected is Christianity.

Equal Rights under the law.....think about that statement. It does not mean equal because of religion or some other moral authority that you may have. It simply means that in the eyes of the government you are equal to every single citizen of the US. All those immoral people your pastor preaches about on Sunday matters not in the eyes of the law. The government is not a church...Stop trying to make it one.
