Paid not to screw up the ACSO. Paid to live elsewhere. The gift that just keeps on giving to those of who pay property taxes.

Just minor speed bumps that Mr. Buchanan and his staff can overcome.

Sure they will. The county penny-less from law suits.

I don't think so.....things will be back as they should be. Just wait and see.

It always comes down cost, Clod. Bufurt costs Ashe County with every breath he takes as the official select.

Training takes money..... and that money comes from the taxpayers. We already had a lot invested in the officers Buchanan and Clayton ran off.

They take the training, and continue training through their chosen career. They will be just fine. All things take time.

Clod, the problem is the rookies way out number the experienced officers. They have no one to mentor them in their chosen career, its not their fault, but it is not a good situation.

Your little neighbor girl must have been called to bed. Your grammar has really failed.

Let's say 30 years, I guess y'all would have the ones you now worship green horns and inexperienced rookies also that you had no faith in. Face everyone has to start somewhere.....Even I was born great, it has taken years of work .

To each their own opinion...

Prior to Bufurt, our SO as fully staffed with good officers. Now it is staffed with people, who might, in time become good officers. That is a huge difference in experience and certification. I hear we are short handed. No surprise. Who wants to work for worthless a55holes.

Ole blow, what is your opinion of a good officer, might not be the same as someone else......Different strokes for different folks.

Newin2018, Buchanan and Clayton both put together are not worth the price of ONE good officer's resignation.....and yes there have been many.

An officer that has been with the department 20 years would be considered a good employee porky. No business has perfect employees. No business has over 30 employees leave in less then a year either.

Not all officers that resign were “good officers”
Don’t throw that blanket termout there as a lie
