Actually, hikingmom, KL has been arrested for larceny in the past. I posted the link previously. He currently has court dates for DWLR. Anyways, it's going to be a hard lesson learned. Unless it turns up in a pawn shop that proves KL pawned it, it could have been any of the people in her apartment. There is no way to prove anything. Just chock it up to a great sentimental loss, and since your daughter is still young, this will be a chance for her to look at who she associates with.

LP? Who is LP?

Just because you know someone doesn't mean a thing. Sounds like racial profiling to me.

There were only 3 guests there - 1) her downstairs roomie and best friend since they were 10 2) her other long term friend from high school whom I know and 3) LP

So, yeah I'm sure. Her fault for letting anyone know she even had a nice watch.

I'm not gonna post in this thread again. I asked the moderator to take it down.

You know for sure he was the one that took it? The other person couldn't have? About all the KL has ever been arrested for us driving while impaired. Also, just because he is related to someone else doesn't make him a bad person. There are a lot of people related to the other person mention that aren't out doing wrong.

If you know so much why are you on GA and you and your daughter not over there getting the Rolex back? You are not telling all the story homie, you are only trying to make out like a victim that is so innocent.

While it's certainly not the great mans fault, I know the grandson lives there. Besides that I'm pretty sure I know or at least have met JW, so I wasn't talking about calling him up and cussing him out. I recall him being a nice man.

I've decided not to even do that now. I'm gonna let my daughter navigate it herself with the police. She's an adult and if she never gets it back, well then yes - really hard lesson learned.

No homie, its not ok to bring a former great man who happened to be sheriff into your daughters poor decisions and life choices. What strip club does your daughter perform at homie?

My daughter lives in her own apartment, works and pays her own rent & bills. Ok?

His mom lives in Winston with her other son. Could be down there in the pawn shops already.

Aww dog where's your heart? I think is sweet when the momma and papa bears step in to take up for their precious 25 year old innocent cubs. Teaches all the right lessons.

James is not responsible for the actions of a 25 y/o he is an adult. Your daughter is hanging with the wrong crowd as whatever told you. Are you enabling her by paying for her apartment and giving her your money like you say you did your friend?

I feel sick knowing that this happened to my daughter.

Plus my own mother is elderly & unwell. She called me earlier tonight - right after my daughter called - saying she thought she was having a heart attack. I live very close & I rushed down to check on her. She's ok but I am on high alert tonight hoping the chest pain she had earlier doesn't come back. My Mom is part of my quarantine bubble (me, her & my husband) and she knows I will come over anytime 24/7 to take care of her if something isn't right but she won't call unless it's bad. Ugh... I tried my best to reassure her that it's better to call earlier if she's feeling sick or in trouble.

Plus 2 other minor worries brewing but I just can't sleep under the stress and worry...it's maddening. And I can't tell mom or daughter what's going on with the other for fear of making it worse for both right now.

Calm, breathe, drink?

Sandwich generation problems for sure.

Unfortunately he was invited as a guest along with another (long term good guy she knew from high school on) friend for a proper social distancing event - her birthday. She's a young (& sometimes naive) adult and yes I don't always approve of her friends but it looks like LP set her up knowing she had valuable jewelry in her apartment.

As I said, it's not about the $$$ but this was a sentimental thing from her grandmother. I kept the jewelry that was bequeathed to her in a safe deposit box for years after grandma died and only gave it all to her recently.

I'm just hoping she can get it back & he hasn't pawned or sold it already.

Did he break in or was he invited in? If the latter, then sounds like someone is hanging with the wrong crowd. Hard lesson learned. I believe he is the cousin of Mike Horton if that tells you anything...

KL - yup, that's the one.

Thanks for the confirm. My daughter told me he's been in trouble before.

Let's see what "strings" can be pulled.

This isn't about money...KL stole my kid's Rolex watch left to her by her grandmother. I'm PISSED!

JW is the former Sheriff. If your talking about his POS grandson KL, then JW usually pulls some strings to keep him out of trouble. KL is bad news and should be locked up like the rest of his no good family.
