So you will only want someone who will be 100% with you and if they disagree a little but are smarter than the rest they are out. Perhaps you expect more than you should, just saying. Smart is good but not good enough

Nancy is an idiot. She proved that when she did run. She's just smarter than the current bunch. But she had some ideas I couldn't ever support

Maybe Donna can turn things around, just because it is bad does not mean it must stay that way. Perhaps her and Nancy Henry could run and teach them a lesson or two in Ashe County as both are smart and not afraid of the Poe's and such who give Ashe County such a bad name

Why would she even consider becoming a politician and staining her record? Because even just a short time in politics has the ability to turn God Almighty into a sinning servant of the devil. It's the nature of the beast.

There, you all just named an educated person with knowledge of the county workings. Donna weaver would win by a land slide. I would love to see what the county manager would do if she ran.

That she does, Tom, and long ago she used to do good things for the people in the county. Seems as though lately she's obsessed with power and getting her own way rather than benefiting the people of the county again. It is a shame.

I'm sure she still has a group of supporters that would cast their ballot her way.

Our elected officials are playing too many games, when they should be doing their jobs. It's truly sad. I wish, just once, someone would speak up during the public comments and tell the commissioners how "great" a job they're doing. I know they won't listen and really don't care what the public thinks of them ... except Rose who's eyeing that cushy chair in the sheriff's office.

I was waiting for her to start talk of running again. Is she afraid Donna Weaver is going to run? Wouldn't that be a threat to her crumbling, twisted little empire? I have no doubt she will run. She is that egotistical. And Tom L, everyone should be afraid of her level of corruption. It has been observed time and time again. We should all be concerned when someone unethical is trying to be at the helm.

I heard a rumble downtown that Judy Poe is considering filing to run for commissioner again. I hope she is beat worse this time then the last primary. Whats it going to take for her to get that she is done with running Ashe county?

She should be removed from any and all government related boards, committees or associations. She is a plague and a blight on this county. What's the email address I need to send the request to?

I emailed them and asked that she be removed but I expect nothing

She participated in bankrupting New River, so it makes perfect sense to put her on this board too

Scroll down and see her listed as an Ashe county commissioner. She asked the band of idiots if she could stay on the board of smokey on the way out the door and they said yes. Like everything else they have been doing they failed to realize the smokey board is supposed to have a county commissioner on it not a voted out of office citizen, contact the smoky board and tell them poe was sent packing in 2012.
