Back they are like the s in Washington who thinks a job is going to pull people out of poverty. Yet by the time you figure in clothes, transportation, and trustmw those clothes take a bite when a company thinks a new dress code, which changed about every three months when I was working and other cost balance tge whole mess out and you are still in poverty. When I worked according to some I was nothing so recalled my work place until I finally WALKED AWAY, contrary to their lies. What will pull people put of poverty is if the s in Washington would quit sending trillion to the Ukraine they don't have and giving everything to illegals. I was raised to look after my own and then share. Of course I guess we can continue to try to push people to work like the ACTA driver who had a heart attack behind the wheel of one of their Van's, wrecked it and almost killed a rider on Idlewild. You can make all the plans you wish but life usually throws a monkey wrench in those plans.

I am in no way downing your parents hike and I find it admirable they try to still work part time. Today young adults need to think about how they will live at retirement that being said they should look at working for government for the retirement. However if the persons are very astute they can save and be well off on their own.

I don't have to worry about someone worrying my parents to death. We have already had the discussion as they age and their health declines more, they will move in with us. Since, neither worked jobs that had retirement plans, they are on a fixed income. They both are able and willing to work their part time jobs. So it will hopefully be awhile before they feel the need to be taken care of. My dad is a very proud man and that is the last thing he wants. However, when the time comes they want to have their modest little 985 sq ft house remodeled inside and an outside facelift. This for it to be an Airbnb! They do not want to feel like burdens and this will help with their income.

Krazy no one worried your parents in their graves but you, the good lord, their age, and poor health care. At least they didn't make up fake illnesses.
