Potashe, unlike you I understand the difference in individuals instead of thinking party affiliation is what matters.

What a bunch of LOSERS! So funny. You both say there is no difference in the political sides and yet all you both do is spout lies about who isn’t your choice.

They sure have been "liberal" with my money over the last few years. Number one waste of money of course is the airport, multiple law suits, paying yearick, paying bufurt, building a middle school we dont need.

There’s really nothing liberal or conservative about local government for a small county like Ashe. The whole thing of trying to divide people with party is extremely tired. In reality, if anyone could define something as liberal, it would be the wasteful spending by the Republican commissioners of tax money on a useless airport and an unwinable lawsuit. But really it’s all just mechanics f local government, not political ideology.
Next time you see someone start going off referring to local politicians and conservative or liberal, do me a favor and punch them in the throat.

Stupid, how is a sheriff conservative or liberal? Their job is to enforce the law and manage the department that does so. It’s not a conservative or liberal job. They aren’t out debating welfare policies or healthcare plans. You are so blinded by party politics your mind is completely turned to gel

OleJ, you must be really OLD. I am the one that said Our new conservative sheriff was not even swarn in yet and the same old, same old has started. How much clearer can it be said. Go ahead and get them emails Jack and try and slam the winners some more. You are a Jerk. Those tricks won’t work again. The voters have spoken. Go dream team, Howell and Houck! He

Ashes, please clarify. This is from your post......" NOW the voters can see they were right in wanting a change. We see the same pattern that went down when the last conservative sheriff was put in charge"
Surely you are not comparing Howell to Buchanan. That would NOT be a good thing.
We need to let the new Sheriff get sworn in and give him some time to be judged on his own merit.

I'd really rather see him come back and get the rest the emails of Yearicks, Rose, and Roark out in the public as the law states.

Sounds like somebody is upset because after all their conniving their little baby is not getting their way. Go ahead and call WBTV again. YOU LOST. HAVE A COW, That’s what the crybabies of the world do when they don’t get their way. We had an election and Howell is not even sworn in yet and you think you can create havoc and change the outcome of the election by calling your friend at WBTV. Yes, the voters have spoken and go cry a river, LOSER. NOW the voters can see they were right in wanting a change. We see the same pattern that went down when the last conservative sheriff was put in charge. Maybe it’s time for the little crybabies to move on.

Poboy the Judy PP supporter is back I see. I think he’s also a member of one of the hose jockeys clubs on the southern end of the county.

About half of the people let go in Guilford were previously retired officers/staff who were working part time and called back by the outgoing Sheriff. 4 of them had already turned in resignation letters.
When you are working a job where you serve at the pleasure of a politician (which is what a Sheriff in NC is) then it's usually best not to bad mouth either candidate....so you keep your job. If you make politics part of your job, then don't be surprised if the other guy wins and dismisses you.

It will be interesting to watch Forsyth crime stats over the next few years. Winston already is not the safest place to visit.

Billy bob and 27 of those were white boys let go by the new black sheriff. The same thing will take place in Forsyth. Both counties voted out the old white republican sheriffs and elected young black sheriffs.

Guilford County’s sheriff-elect is doing a purging of his own - over 30 at last count. It’s his right though. It’s an elected office. It’s only shocking to the observers once the sheriff’s regime goes down. I’m awestruck at the morons who think working for a politician is a highway to the gravy train - it’s the most unstable job there is. Petition your state legislators if you find this archaic law - electing LEOs in partisan elections - kinda backwards. Otherwise, shut up.
