A political appointment of that nature is just a slap in the face to the voters who threw Poe out of office. If your information is accurate and the county manger orchestrated the appointment, he should be fired point blank once the new board members take office.

His back ground includes former chairman of the Caldwell county republican party, and former employee of the NC treasury. Yeah he has some influence and knows the right people.

It seems to me that there recently was a question raised about the acquisition of some equipment by a local group. I can't recall the exact details of it and I don't want to derail this thread though.

Go to the county web site, click on commissioners, click on search meeting archives, click on agenda for the 11-17 meeting then scroll down and click on agenda item resolution of weapons. Then click on the resolution to give away another vehicle.

Why would the county want to trade these guns 7 of them for one gun and name the employee they are being traded for. Who are they trading with? Another favor?

She has never fixed anything so far. In fact maintains the status quo. Things are FUBAR and will remain FUBAR if she has anything to say about. And she does like to run that flipper.

I guess the manager failed to mention poe and her husband attending the ASU games and sitting in the bremco suite? I guess he failed to mention she sat back and let gates bolt. I guess he failed to mention she lied to Joesph. He even may have failed to mention that the previous manager knew all this and she had to go.

I hadn't heard this, but I'm not surprised. I've heard that the manager is a crony who plays the game to the hilt. Poe will likely try to take control of this board as she did with the commission board and New River and run this agency into the ground as well.

Well, the DSS is already broken, so she can't be blamed for breaking it. Sounds like croony capitalism to me!

She was so proud of this that she had to announce it at the last commissioner meeting. Now tell me how the lowest vote getter in the primary gets the appointment along with another republican replacing two democrats. Did the county manager use his influence to pay her back for hiring him? She helped break New river. Bet no one told the Governor that.
