It is not a dollar for dollar deduction. At that level, depending on many other factors, the best he can realize is $0.40 credit per tax dollar owed.

Sorry, I disagree with that. I think Lebron is doing more than just wanting a deduction. I think he really is genuine in wanting to help the kids of Cleveland. But again, it doesn’t take a genius to want to help kids read. Lebron isn’t tutoring kids. He’s spending money that he gets from playing a children’s game for a living.

Melania Trump praised LeBron James for his charity work less than a day after her husband attacked the NBA superstar's intellect in a tweet Friday night.
The first lady's spokeswoman on Saturday said Trump is supportive of James' work with children.
