You should research a source before quoting it. Clearly you don’t realize they have an agenda instead of just reporting facts. That was an entire op-Ed in defending the money trail for schools.

School sports is a waste of tax money period. AAU sports could easily take the place of School sports and we could use that money to buy some books or hire a few decent teachers instead of coaches.

Really? How many athletes did I say go pro? Come on Streak, I’m not going to spoon feed you. You have to do some work on your own.

Those aren't the numbers you quoted. Which makes you a liar.

And those are the ncaa numbers. They are probably high. For one, the baseball numbers include minor league players.

It's simple enough to prove me wrong. Link the research. Or In neglecting to do so, prove that you're a liar.

Ok. I read that article as well. And while it shows discrepancies in graduation rates for high major d1 basketball and football players, it also doesn't contain the numbers you quoted earlier. So were you just making them up?

And 78% of pro football players end up bankrupt because their careers last on average 3 years, and they have no degree or skills to fall back on.

Brownstreak, I get that google is too complicated for you to use, but I didn’t take you to raise. However, since the truth is a little tough to get to since the NCAA likes to try to skew the facts, here you go

My bad Hike. It was the sport fan that thinks the booster bra club pays for everything. A little too much Jack Daniels at one time and I got the blind drunks.

The most disturbing part of this thread is the OP, in which a grown man follows middle school softball, the players are uncoached, no one knows how to play, and politicians oversee everything.

Boosters pay for the participation trophies, fine dining for the team at Village Inn, some team shwag, and maybe, just maybe, a trip to Dollywood.
