I don't think they dragged their feet as much as this article makes it look. From what someone told me, the watauga democrat or the high country press (don't remember which one) had a much better article yesterday morning. They had also been following this story since she disappeared. I haven't read the articles, but what my friend said, it finally came out that the girl had been dealing with a round of depression. Something to do with a boyfriend. It seems that the authorities have been struggling to get useful info from her friends.

I don't know any of the details, so I am hesitant to criticize, but I think the University/Town/County should have moved a little faster if indeed she has been gone without her cell phone. How many teenage girls go anywhere without their cell or keys?
It sounds like they thought she might be shacked up with someone but then that did not pan out.

In todays society, you never know what will take place...With any luck maybe she will be found safe, but as time goes on that always becomes less likely...
