Finny, don't hold the trucking community responsible for your lack of understanding their language...

If I donate 100 bucks can I get the field named after me?

Kind of like trying to have a conversation with a truck driver

Middle school sports aren't that impressive anyway....

Yeah, that's more important than the kids learning to read

The main thing is let's hope we have enough room for some "ball fields" !

No matter where it's built someone will object.

I'm not sure how that qualifies as a quiet neighborhood you know with AEV there and all but hey some might think that's quiet :).

It's probably one of the better choices, though I don't like the road idea to extend from there to 16 since that wipes out two of my neighbors homes......it's been talked about for decades but hopefully it doesn't come to pass.

Then they had better do a better job on birth control north and west.

Home schooling is for the morons that think Jesus rode a dinosaur. And those on the west side would be stuck with Mountain City unless they could get Watauga to take them. And Mountain City would be more backward than the dinosaur riders.

If you live in the north and west of the county my advice is to either start home schooling or see if you can attend in another state. Be sure and tell all the young to stop breeding.

Giving kids tools to succeed is not "Babying" them. The education system as a who continues to suffer because of that mindset.

Everyone on here knows that it is a done deal now. They had a public forum and no one showed up. My problem from the beginning is that I don't trust them to get it right. I want the right size school built for the future and not make the same mistakes as the 3 High Schools.

Pretty sure - he owns the old white farmhouse that sits on Old Hwy 16 directly across the road from the new school location.

Keep babying them and they will never grow up. Make all kids ride the bus. That's where you learn the skills you need to survive. How to fight, cuss and all about sex.

The maturity level between 8th and 12th grades is huge. I think Ashe has the right mindset by having a middle school level and trying to give kids a stepping stone to the high school environment.

I agree and have said that since the beginning.

Still a foolish idea to have a middle school.

Go back to K-8 9-12 Like Watauga

@farmer28, you sure that's the same Bryan Huffman?

Is it to late to tell this jerk to go back where ever he came from if he doesn't like having functional schools?

underdog2

Posted 6:36 pm, 08/15/2016

There is a simple solution to this. Bull doze family central and build it there. Problem solved.

I didn't realize an industrial zone and mini storage facility qualified as "picturesque"
