If Bubbles friends mom is an elected official and she is as dense and uneducated as Charlie accuses her of being, then the voters should have done their research before voting her in to start with. Just because she's Bubblebrains other friends dogsittter's aunt doesn't make her a good school board member I mean courthouse elected official. Fellers need shut their traps and fix it in the next election.

No backwash, the problem is parents not actually taking an interest in their kids education. Instead they complain about things like coaches and who's kid gets the most game time. If Ashe county parents put as much importance on reading as they do bouncing a hall, Ashe would be number 1 in education in America.

Patents demanding stuff instead of asking nicely or offering help is probably the main problem. Placing blame on everybody and everything else when their babies do no wrong is not doing anything but hurting the education system you speak of.

For once, you are right Backwash. Ive said for years that parents should demand more from the education system. But if you could comprehend what you read, people upset about the below grade performance of their kids isn't what mom is referring to.

If Bubblemom's child's friend is going to get on here and talk about how Bubblemom is representing the courthouse and how they have a problem with the aldermen and make typos and leave out words here and there to beat it all, it sounds like parents should be tailgating at the courthouse to hold Bubblemom accountable especially if she is an elected official and supposed to be representing all the people instead of just some.

Just what in this fallen world does tailgating at the BOE have to do with the commissioners not supporting Bubblehead's right to do what she wants with her own body and why should it matter to her friends mom anyway? My rights are not under attack as a woman. I have the right to use birth control, get permanent sterilization and other options. I was told by a specialist in Charlotte that I should abort my youngest because it appeared that she had a genetic disorder. I told him no thanks. I'm glad I didn't do what he said because she is perfectly fine with no genetic disorder. Like pointed out already the commissioners have no control over such legislation. As for the boxes for infants. I think it is a good thing to consider. It is already a law that an infant less than seven days old can left at any police, fire station and/or hospital without question. However, the boxes are more private and are being used more across the country. Saying our rights are being taken away over this topic is about as stupid as the BOE tailgaters saying they represent all parents over the mask mandate in schools. Neither the OP of this thread or those s represents all the people.

None of you seem to get it, if you're on the bottom of the income chain YOU DON'T HAVE ANY FRIGGIN' RIGHTS! There's all kinds of stuff written on paper/parchment like The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution the first ten admendments customarily referred to as The Bill of Rghts but it's all become meaningless. If your endeavors are impeding the ambitions of the rich and powerful and you are on the bottom of the income chain they will consider their rights are being infringed. Yep. I've always hated resolutions and been against them. Total waste of time. They are feel good legislation to buy votes.

Its really a waste of tax payer dollars, time, and paper. Maybe they will go over to the landing strip get in a plane and drop pamplets all over the county.

Bubblehead, sweetie, the county COMMISSIONERS have no authority over abortion in any form. They are only voting on a resolution. A resolution is an official opinion from the commissioners. Nothing more. Simply put, it says they either support something or they don't. It does nothing.
