This is part of the resolution on the Commissioners agenda for Monday:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ashe County Board of Commissioners
hereby expresses its strong feelings and deep concerns that all human beings in the County of
Ashe, at every stage of development, including before birth, should be afforded protection from
acts of cruelty and be treated humanely and with dignity; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Ashe County Board of Commissioners hereby declares
Ashe County to be a strong advocate for life and urges the County citizens to promote and
defend the unalienable right to life and the inherent dignity of all human beings, including the
unborn, from conception or fertilization through all stages of development; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Ashe County Board of Commissioners hereby resolves
to use all means within its power to support the sanctity of human life in accordance with its
God-given responsibilities as the people's elected governing body
The Sheriff is also asking to be allowed to install a safe haven drop off box for unwanted newborns, under 7 days old, in the LEC lobby.

I'm not a troll and I'm not lying. My friends mom is very religious and is all for doing away with abortion but man this is just not right. She said one of the churches is bringing a petition or resolution or something like that to the aldermens mtg on Dec 20. Its not right that a bunch of old men are trying to take away my rights.

You have no rights it's all a lot of nonsense on paper. If your household income is less than $100,00.00 pa you exist for the sole purpose of keeping the rich and powerful rich and powerful, or to enable the rich and powerful to become even richer and more powerful. If your household income is more than $100,000.00 pa but less than $5000000.00 pa you exist to maintain the status qou of the rich and powerful for which you receive their generous gratitude along with the crumbs from their table. If your household income is more than $5000000.00 you are the rich and powerful and youse da ones dat got the rights. In other words if yew aint rich yew aint got no rights!

found out from my friends mom that works at the courthouse that the county aldermen are trying to attack Womens tights. They are discussing abortion at their next meeting in an attempt to do away with a woman's right to choose. Why should a bunch of OLD MEN get to choose what is right for me snd my body? This should not be happening. They should not get to make a decision like that for women.
