Dog go away. Back another thing I don't get is why anyone woukd leave say Charlotte to move here and turn it into the same mess they left. When I moved my mobile home to the Mulatto in 1979 the health dept.kept coming out for water samples. I finally got curious abd asked them why they kept testing the water I was drinking. They stated they could find nothing in that water, no impurities or chemicals if any kind. That was the best water in this coubty but I bet it isn'tnow with the silt, etc. Now this quality of water and some must have shared wells etc. I loved in Lenoir gor a year and I had no desire to change it to something else. Coukdnot drink the wayer but I figired live and let live. I was just reading some posts over on another site and obviously some in Ashe County are seeing the same thing. The point I am seeing is why vrong the place you are leaving with you and try to force it down the locals throats. We have survived hundreds of years without shared wells, hoas, tourist, or any of that town garbage. Don't come here with your cameras treating us like zoo animals here for your enjoyment. We are human beings, a lot of us with jobs to do. And yes dog according to that ACTA driver it took him 15 minutes to drive through town. The lady we picked up had been waiting at least that long if not longer.

Mo, it for sure does if your stopping to take pictures of the handsome utility fellers and metal roosters.

Krazy it doesn't ever take 15 minutes to get through town. You dont drive so just shut up. I guess you think that going to Boone on the bus there is no traffic there. Were you and the kid working for a living you could take a picture and go on weekend trips. I have to agree with fins. you and the kid are deadbeats.

Back I have to wonder about some. I w as in town a few years, ago. A woman was taking a picture of a metal rooster across from Reeves lawfirm and walked backwards right in front of her taking pictures of a STUPID METAL ROOSTER. She could have gone to a local farm or just about anywhere and seen a real life ibe. Insyead this udiot walked in frobt of a moving car. Now the way I view people now I would have probably ran over the fool. I have been many places from Raleigh to Mt. City but I have never had the urge to photograph local utility workers. What a rare sight a utility worker must be. Lord help them if they see a bear or a mountain lion since tge foold will probably get eaten and it would derve them right.

Arrow, I do believe I have heard of Poor Appalachia tours in West Virginia. That ain't quaint neither. Some fellers are real dumbbutts.

Now yesterday on the van I saw a most ridiculus thing. We had to go in to WJ to pick up a passenger and low and behild in the corner we have tourists taking picyres of utility workers. Now this was a "hers your sign" moment if I ever saw one and I can only surmise that wherever these people??? Slinked ib from does not have these quaint utility workers just trying to do their jobs. Beam me up Scotty since this freaking world has lost its mind. Before I left Kmart we would take trips to say Linville Cavernsbut I never once felt the need to take any photos with any local utility workers. One of the stupiest things I have yet to see and it took 15 minutes to get from one end of that town to another. No way I intend to voluntarily get withibg a mile of that town. Has it never occurred to the locals that tourists are treating you like monkeys in a zoo??
