Actually, it's been proven that for every $100 you give out in welfare benefits, something like $110 goes back into the local economy. So, that's money taken from wealthier areas, like NJ and NY, and then redirected to Ashe County, and driving the local economy.

And the director of the local DSS doesn't have the power to change policies or create programs to ween people off of the system.

That doesn't solve anything because essentially if you give them 500k this year, next year their stomachs are expanded, therefore you must now spend 750k to maintain the fat so they cant breed. Are you a good business person or what?
