Whatnot, I did some research when this come up last time. Howell has never been a registered democrat. He may have voted for democrats along the way, but he was never registered a democrat. Get your facts straight.

Hey R2D2 you keep dissing on Dix and McNeil for switching parties but no mention of Howell growing up in a Dem household. His father may be registered an unafil now, but his voter record shows he voted Dem in every primary election for the last 26 years, up until 2017. Same for his son. Are you not outraged that you've been duped?

What has happened to the grand ole party in Ashe County! Dix has been a democrat all his life with a big fat state job. McNiel walks and talks like a democrat and changed his party also. Sands deserted conservatives a long time ago. What the heck am I suppose to do?

The only thing I would add though is I think the viewership for Southern Justice was pretty low. Whereas the Buchanan fiasco got regular tv and newspaper coverage while it was going on.

It will take years for this county to regain respect across the state. Buchanan and Yearick and crowd made Ashe a laughingstock from Currituck to Cherokee and everywhere in between.

Potashe the days of elmer fudd, rose, perry, richerson, ruining this county are long gone. We are still paying for their stupid decisions that have landed us numerous lawsuits. Go sit in the corner and watch how the county moves forward.
