The use of barneys , johnny troopers, and other names you use to refer to law enforcement, EMS, Fire fighters, and other professionals, is degrading and disrespectful. I will never understand why you and Fins continually engage in such juvenile behavior.

The Gun Free Zones leads to a zone where criminals know people cannot defend themselves. It essentially paints a target on schools. After all someone willing to shoot multiple people outside of war doesn't really care that much about the fact laws declare it a gun free zone.

We need to end the Gun Free Zone, not mandate teachers carry and pack, just remove the barrier, let the criminal be unsure.

Next we need to rexamine several teachings of our modern society. We need to stop safe spaces. Through them we are preventing kids from learning how to have a real debate on issues. They don't know how to interact with someone of opposing viewpoint except as the media, politicians, and entertainment tells them to and that's violence, shouting, name calling, and to demean and dehumanize those that oppose your viewpoint.

How many of the school shootings were carried out by children who were bullied or picked on by classmates?

I think most of these shootings have been by teenagers. What happened to parents having the the first clue what their children were doing? How much parenting goes on these days?

The SRO was shot multiple times while entering the classroom where this took place, he was in critical condition but is expected to survive but will most likely loose one of his arms, the second officer fired at and missed the shooter who promptly dropped his guns and surrendered; but I’m sure he and his family appreciate your asking.

Second, as for the NRA, the lefts complainst have been that the NRA is against banning “assault rifles”, but this time the kid used a shotgun and a revolver. So now what’s your complaint?

It seems the one consistency in all of these cases is the shooter is an ostracized student that’s been picked on and bullied, in this case even by faculty. Hmmm, who’s really to blame?

The parameters CNN followed in this count are:
A shooting that involved at least one person being shot (not including the shooter)
A shooting that occurred on school grounds
We included grades K through college/university level
We included gang violence, fights and domestic violence
We included accidental discharge of a firearm as long as the first two parameters are met

According to this there is more to that number than actual school shootings. Yes, it is a crazy world we live in, but actual facts need to be made clear.

Yet another school shooting. 10 dead. Where Will it stop. 22 school shootings already this year. At this rate there Will be 50+ shootings at the end of the year. The cause of the shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas has been blamed on too many doors in the buildings. Has long has the NRA controls congress our children Will continue to die. This could happen anywhere including here in Ashe, give that some thought!
