Shatley Paving Sucks

pointman

Posted 10:36 am, 08/05/2018

Regardless who milled the joint, Shatley does the paving. Please note that some of the joints were transitioned with asphalt and some were not. This points directly at Shatley the Shoddy Paver. And rest assured, I do not work for any paving company.

You have had no defense for anything Pointman, or Flash has stated to you. You have only blamed another company. I will believe anything Pointman has to say. He is an upstanding educated professional, Yet you are at the bottom of the latter. No one is pissing but you.

Jack , this is not a pissing contest here...and NO Shatley did not contract anyone to mill on the 221 project..

That contract would be through Vannoy/Maymead.

I called flash out on this false statement ... and I wished flash happy hunting on finding the article.

Did shyster shately not contract Vannoy to do the milling and this butt joint you keep referring to?

I notice you didnt challenge flash about all the complaints and bribing shyster.

Hey flash, dig that article up...you will be very disappointed when you find it.

The article you are talking about is the Bennett boy and he worked for Tri- County paving...happy hunting.

Let me say again...Shatley did not mill the joints or have any milling done on the 221 project. Get the fact's straight before running off at the mouth . Vannoy's had the butt joints milled.

From what I’ve seen over the years, Shatley has always been a bunch of hacks. I wouldn’t let them pave a driveway for a dog house.

As for hauling asphalt from mountain city, I wouldn’t think you could keep it up to temp that far. I know in the past Wiley got caught hauling asphalt too far because the mix was getting cold and not going down correctly.

Not Wiley, surely ya jest. Amazes me as to how he stays on the state bid list. This site is not big enough to list all the violations that I know of. Starting with trying to bribe inspectors.

Shatley, I wish I could find the article that head the testimony of one of his employees talking about smoking meth. Ha stated he was doing it because all the others in his crew were doing it

Jack, the other side of the coin in the inspectors is , I don’t know about now, but it used to be similar to building inspectors. There was no real formal education requirements for the job. These guys aren’t engineers. They just get hired and then are trained by the state how to do the job. So they really shouldn’t be dictating how a licensed contractor should do their job.

The only joint I know of is one I would smoke.

. I didnt even have to go the to liquor store today as I stocked up last weekend.

Well this explains a lot....

Not only are you a pot head but a drunk as well.
My guess is you don't have any business even driving.

As far as this statement goes..We already know that I am better then you. I sit and watch it rain from the dry.

All I have to say to that is lay off the drugs and alcohol. Just a suggestion.
Your brain is fried enough as it is

So you think that putting up a sign that says bump that makes it alright to leave a milling where it knocks the front end out? Why dont you just admit you screwed the pooch on this one?

Well you see that's the point moron!
You have NO idea what you are talking about.

People come on here and start a topic bashing a company when they have no clue as to how things work.
Anyone with any sense would know that is not the finished product.
You don't have to be in the paving business to know that.

Oh and by the way, I'm pretty sure that there is a BIG sign that says BUMP!!!!

Maybe you should stick to what you do know and that's the joint that you are smoking. (pot head)

And No, I didn't work out in the rain but, thanks for asking.

Did you have to work in the rain today paving boy?

Hey jack-off, first of all I didn't make the mess...sounds like you people need to stop and talk with the job supervisor of Shatley Paving .

But No!...that just too dam easy .

Also, you people don't get the concept of what a mill joint is ...get over it !

Before pointman educates you let me add that I dont care who you want to blame Shatley is responsible for making it a smooth transition and not a hump that will knock your front end off. It appears that its people like you that have gotten us to this place according to what Joseph posted about the dot not being able to have you correct your shoddy work. Now go fix your mess you made.

Hey pointman maybe you should get your facts straight before coming on here and running your mouth about something you have NO idea about.

You are falsely claiming that this is Shatley Paving fault!

Let me help you in getting this cleared up here.

1st.Shatley Paving is not the company that milled that up! That was Vannoy/Maymead.

2nd. Those are butt joints for the final layer of asphalt going on 221.
Paving was slated to start on Monday July 30th but due to weather the paving has been pushed back until Aug 6th.

3rd. All Shatley Paving was doing was putting in paper joints to make the transition a little smoother until the final layer of asphalt is laid down.
They were doing this for Vannoy/Maymead!

4th. As far as the milling of butt joints, Delta is the company that did the milling for Vannoy/Maymead not Shatley!

Just curious what paving company do you work for pointman?
Do I sense a little jealousy here?

Here's a suggestion for you.....
Get your fact's straight before opening your mouth.

So the shoddy clowns got their way.

The problem is there is a different between making sure a project meets the design and specs and telling someone how to do the job. Over the years I have seen inspectors demand things that are not in the plans or on the pay list.

If you think there is a problem with contractors jobs you should see what the DOT does on job they do their self. They do things that no contractor would ever be allow to do and the couple I have work on didn't even have an inspector the DOT employees just did it how ever they wanted.

Can you believe that he is hauling the asphalt for the 221 project all the way from Mtn. City.

Maymead has hired them to help with some paving

Wiley runs the only paving company that I know of that brings a mill to finish their paving work.
