The Sheriff's office still has openings posted for Jailer and Deputy on NCWorks.
I wonder why qualified individuals haven't jumped to take those positions......

They can't check personal phones or email addresses. That requires an investigation and a subpoena. About the only way to make that happen is if a reporter were to find enough reason to cause the SBI to investigate. But, they are outsiders, and heaven forbid we let them help.

Well when they check messages, they should check there personal phones for messages. If they texted back and forth on it, then that's the public knowledge if they did it at work or work related. There not going to use the phone giving to them from the county. They need to check the messages before they picked who the sheriff was going to be. Haha I would say that would be interesting text from Rose, Roark and him.

Watch Ashe County Commissioner meeting from April 17 2017 and see how the Sherriff was so politically and rude during this public comments. You have 3 minutes not 30 and he was told by Larry Rhodes his time was up but did not zip his lip this was not professional at all especially raising his voice on a woman that only was trying to tell him that it wasn't the first time the county has been asked for public information. Id say her husband was fit to be tied at that comment I know my husband would have let him know about that real quick. 2018 people pray and remember all the families that had to quit or was terminated at the Ashe County Jail when you cast your Vote.This County is being invaded by outsiders more and more everyday just my thoughts and opinions.God Bless all the County Employees that are and was in the middle of this transition!

It was four jailers, of which one was the Captain. You forgot deputy Moody who was Sgt. And as for the people he hired or replaced these employees with, they had years of experience. Some of the people bufort has hired are straight out of school. Ashe County will never be able to replace the experience or professional level of employees that this idiot has fired or run off!

So does anyone know when the text messages between commissioner Jeff Rose and the Sheriff is going to come out?
I saw in another thread someone wanted to know who has got fired from the ACSO. Some of these names have been let go, some was made to move positions where they lost retirement time which made them quit, others where made to resign.

David Upchurch
Grady Price
Chris Eldreth
Jermey Williams
Chris Roten
Same lady that works up front
Kelly Stevens, push to the high school
Three jailers
Haha, the real question is. Who did the "sheriff" replace these people with. He claimed the sheriff office had a lack in training. Wonder if the people he hired back for these positions had more experience.
