Oohhh back to the name calling. Figure it out dog. It's not really that hard to know who I an just look up Christmas Mt since I suspect I am the only one sued and evicted, with a registered lease from the land owner , from something the corporation did not own. **** my story is in various places online. Let's not forget the don't know who in **** I was or what I was doing living on their father's land for 31 years. Actually the alligators were to insure no **** developer ever set foot in my swamp. I also planned on a large group of piranhas patrolling my moat!!!

Dog it makes more sense than some of the name calling bs I have read here. Some days I think I got time warped back to kindergarden which come to think of it I never attended kindergarden but I have heard rumors. At least those on the other site are not afraid to let anyone know who they are. They aren't hiding behind phoney names.

Its amazing reading comments on the social media giant the utter stupidity of the few democrats in the county blaming the tax value increases on voting for republican commissioners. The most uneducated nit wits I have ever seen.

It's my understanding that all the human hubbub is about APPRAISALS not the actual tax Bill's and yes Fins some have stated they plan to tell the county that if the appraisals stand the county can buy their property for that and they will move the **** out. I haven't yet found my swampland so God awful no developer would look at it for my alligator farm. Guess the county bought it all for the new school they could not build. Just think Ashe County might have had an alligator luggage and handbag factory. It's easy to spend taxpayer dollars then charge people more isn't it???

I don't know why not, Mo. Them fellers are the finest specimens of christian republicans the county had to offer. That is why we voted them in in the first dam place. Who else are fellers going to call and complain to, the tax collector office over at the courthouse or something? You will have to ask Bubblehead's momma if that is where she got her dumbbutt information from also. Her sources ain't much like yours are not also.

Fins the county has made me more rich then I was. I do however have some property I will pitch the county to buy.


Historically only 8% of the population will file an appeal and only a handful will go all the way to the state appealing their tax values.The county knows this and its a shame and calling a county commissioner is worthless.

Fins don't worry about it since the commissioners are fixing that low tax rate. What goes up will come down
I may not live to see it but some will as my Dad always said. If they think the crime rate in this county won't rise in relation to how fast people start doing without watch it. But you are right about it not affecting me. I already got my *** reamed out of house and home with the help of the county so there is very little else they can do to me. We will see how this mess turns out. Some have already told the county to pay them what the county claims their house is worth and they will move the **** out. I know someone on a other site that a few years ago built a fancy new house and is now crying over the tax bill. Try to keep up with the Jones a d sooner or later you will pay the price for your aragance. The ones I feel for are those who have very little already that are barely making ends meet and now get hit with higher food costs, gas, heating oil etc etc
For the working poor it doesn't take much to wind them up homeless.

Most of the transplants that come here, think their tax bill is for the month when they first see it, and still think it's low. When they learn it's annual, they are shocked at how cheap their taxes are. This won't bother them at all

Arrow, the people moving in here arent looking at the tax rate, in my opinion. They are here with their second houses that cost triple what my one permanent home cost. I just dont think it is an issue to them, they are probably getting a deal still yet from wherever they came from. We are the new Blowing Rock and the new comers did not bring the vaseline.

Yeah I guess they have some other rich person here in the county they want too buy swamp land off of . That way they make them richer and can't use the land for nothing and keep buying and sticking the tax payers with the bill . Seems they love helping some people but not he people in Ashe just screw them every chance they get!

Real estate prices are now falling as interest rates rise. They did this reappraisal right at the top of the market and I'm sure they know it. I suggest emailing the county commissioners with protests.

Now pay attention to what I am going to say and remember just because some call me Krazy does not mean I am. What happens when news of this tax increase hits the developers and home builders?? Knowing how much big shots love that money and them having options of going somewhere where taxes are lower are they going to come here?? Will people continue to but fancy houses where the tax rats are through the roof?? Where is the breaking point where sellers can't sell and buyers won't buy?? Now I might not know everything I am still learning but it's common sense. Sounds to me like Ashe County just added the straw that will break the camel's back!!!

They are over on another site and some are really mad. Did anyone think this was not going to happen??, Got and to pay for that new school and see how many residents of good old Ashe they can run out and trade for outsiders with more money. That's the name of their game.
