I doubt they know how to keep the books. The problem isn't cooking the numbers. It's knowing how to add and subtract and what the law actually says. I bet they don't understand the difference in an accountant and a CPA.

I bet that somewhere somehow someone is cooking some books.

A 501c club must keep records of such. This applies to the county. The commissioners must first declare property surplus which is done in and open meeting.

Maybe things of this nature do come to various departments as donations. More than likely though, money get donated by well intentioned people so the departments can purchase them. I doubt that those people intend that the departments then in turn donate the items to the Honor Guard Club for their parade vehicles. When the Departments purchase them, they would of course need receipts from where they made the purchase. And of course there should be paperwork to show when they sell/donate whatever the equipment as surplus or however they need to over it for their records. Now, when this equipment arrives at the Honor Guard Club it does not magically install itself. So, therefor someone donates his/her time and expertise to the project. Or maybe there I another way that the equipment gets installed. I can only use my imagination about where and how and by whom that installation took place. But once again, of course, there would paperwork covering the donation of authorized time or a record of being reimbursed for the employee's time and materials. Can it be 'splained any clearer? I smell something decomposing about the whole thing.

Why would they want to look into it? That stuff can readily be picked up anywhere...

And I wonder if the new Board will look into the equipment the Honor Guard Club has on their parade vehicles.

I wonder if Winters will be sporting a purple heart on his uniform from the injuries sustained from the election?

Seems that the Dog and Fins are obsessed with the "dressing up" part of the honor guard and Barney's . Sounds like they are jealous because no one will invite them to there club to play dress up. It's ok boys, I'm sure in time, if not already, you will get a chance to wear a pretty orange suit provided free of charge by the Barney's. Maybe then you two turd burglars can quit whining.

between wifey and waterhead, Winters garnered no votes from their displays. I will say this, though.....Winters had enough gonads to at least come on here long enough to straighten things out. Too little, too late, but still I'll give the devil his due.
