Flames it appears we need to see some emails of the commissioners and the dss board members to each other. It appears the state and the county needs to remove and replace the dss board. They are making a hostile work environment for the director and employees. If Poe is for doing away with the board I would look at why very carefully.

That is so stupid. It is an advisory board. Get real. Sounds like Yearick wrote that.

Any citizen can ask any question of any commissioner at any time. Being chairman of dss board doesn’t make you dictator or king. I think micromanagement is something Yearick and now Sextown has tried to do. Sextown has tried to run dss as if he was completely in charge.ever since Weaver left. He doesn’t respect anyone else opinion, and certainly not the employees of dss. He is toxic.

JPP's letter to the editor continues the incoherence she is known for. While I'm not sure the LTE which spawned this thread is the absolute fact, at least it had a time line which could be followed.

I would like more information about the pros and cons of making the change. If you read Poe's letter to the editor on Ashe County line it contradicts much of what Sexton put forth in his spew. I'm inclined to believe Poe in this instance although she was the one who helped start much of the current mess by hiring Yearick.

I also am totally against putting the commissioners in charge of DSS. The Old Man from the Sea can forget putting that girlfriend of his on the board. She lost as commissioner and he will be gone in Nov. Those two control freaks are TOXIC.

There is no reason for taxes to go up. A lot of debt is going away and I want services cut before taxes are raised. I havent mentioned family central yet but I will. Cut it too.
