They did screw up. Girls are not qualified to write stories about fire trucks.

It's around 2200 to 2500 gallons. That all the axles that the truck can carry.

Pump capacity is limited by the size of hose line and nozzle attached. They most likely use 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 inch attack lines which at 90 psi on level ground would be approx 300 gallons per minute. If they were using 5 inch LDH to supply another pumper, then they could use the full capacity of the pump. If using 1 3/4 at 2 00 feet at 150 pump psi, you only get approx 150 to 180 gpm depending on nozzle. That also allows 50 psi pressure loss from friction through the hose.

That would be approximately 31' by 31' by 30.5' of water

220,050 gallons would be 29,418 cubic feet. That's a big tank

At pumping 1,250 gal a minute, a 2200 gal tank would be empty in 2 minutes. Think it's 22,000 gallons?

I am pretty sure it is a 2200 gallon main tank with a 50 gallon supplemental tank for foam or other types of concentrate.

You know, I wont pass judgement on the paper boy at this time because I can see billy bob the hose jockey sticking his chest out telling the paper boy the facts.

with a 2016 fire tanker with a 220,050 gallon holding capacity!

now let's see,,,,220,050 gallons of water @ 8.34 pounds per gallon is about 1.8 million pounds. **** fine piece of equipment there.....
