Perhaps they should switch to flag football...eventually schools and younger leagues will rightfully be held accountable for the brain damage.

It's just high school kids playing a game. Hide and go seek is a game. Checkers is a game.

Ten years from now no one will remember - or care who wins.

Avery is a 1A

I've not had much dealings with him. I'm sure I'll hear through the grapevine what the opinion of folks is soon enough. The problem is there are to much politics, some families use their political clout to apply pressure and when their kids act up and are disciplined they move that the coach be dismissed. That's what led to this coach.

What is Avery school from last week?

Yes Jr., I understand what you are saying, but have you had any dealings with Hampton? I am by far not the only one to be complaining about him. I have talked with many here in Ashe over the years. People are tired of his ****.

Ashe is a 2A school, Watauga is a 3A
Hibriten is a 2A (we play them next week)
West Caldwell is a 3A school (we play them the next week)
Alleghany is a 1A school
Elkin is a 1A School
North Wilkes is 2A
Wilkes Central is 2A
East Wilkes is 1A
West Wilkes is 2A
Starmount is 1A

Ashe would almost never beat Watauga or West Caldwell. It's just a numbers game, they have more students to pick from when forming a team we have less. This years schedule is a bit easier than last year when they played some 4A schools.

Lol at being butthurt about high school football. No bigger indication of a hayseed. Do you spend your weekends at the barber shop, or hanging outside a gas station playing checkers and talking about "the politics"?

Bad attitude, poor leadership skills, loss of pride from the community, awful coach, terrible relationship with parents of players, loss of passion in teaching and coaching, failure to prepare players and put them in a successful position, failure to treat all kids equally, shows favoritism and not professional. Hampton will NOT lead us to victory. It is time for a change! He is the worst coach I have ever seen and I have seen plenty. Those kids deserve better. We need new blood NOW!
