Training is good - however, most agencies use the diamond formation not the T formation to avoid a shooter coming up behind you unseen. You'd think "experienced" people like Bufort and Clayton would know this.

School shootings happen at a rate of roughly 0.02 shootings to every 100,000 hours of classroom hours. Airplane crashes (including skids on a runway) happen at a rate of 6 incidents for every 100,000 hours of operational hours.

It would make more sense to chew your kid's food for them so they won't choke than putting SROs in the schools.

By the time a school yard barney could respond to a shooter he or she will have already shot a whole class.

But the one time it happens you will be darn glad that SRO was in your kids school. Well worth the money.
