My elderly mother is a fan of Roses. They have a senior citizen discount day which she enjoys very much.

Fins and I have the same mailman and I cant tell you what I gave him. However he is well compensated for his deeds in the winter.

My mailman brings me liquor when it snows and I don't want to get out. Kind of like Uber Eats, but with liquor. But I give him a whole lot more than $50 for Christmas.

And no, no gift card for the Yearicks - you don't need to be snarky jack!
I did get my mailman a gift card...he is a fine gentleman who brings me giant amounts of mail all year and I have a very tough driveway to get up in the wintertime. I think $50 is good - what do you think jack?

All I get the concubines is something stiff. They want to please me so as to remain as one of my concubines.

jack - gross! Soda pop chasers! I haven't done that since high school but maybe you're much younger than me or maybe immature or maybe just not accustomed to the finer things in life. Concubines surely must dislike this way of drinking...get those girls a nice rose from Provence or at the very least a bota box of Pinot Gris.

We use soda pops for chasers.
Did you get Yearick and his mommy a card?

Lol, billy - I grew up here and know that Dr Pepper is actually a luxury brand item for many in these here parts, and why not extend the holiday cheer to them little young-ins via a baby bottle? Huh? I won't ever judge someone's choices, especially when they are at least trying to do the best they can for.a baby that they've created. Me? I personally fed my only child the best diet I could as a baby and she thrived thankfully.
****, many of us here must've grown up in food insecure households/environments (or maybe not - I feel like I may not know you guys well enough and I don't like making those assumptions). I have empathy for the cashiers, the customers and everyone there at 3pm today - except for the guy who was screaming about "NEW CASHIERS NOW!" loud enough so that everyone in that crowded store could hear him!
Get a grip people - you're shopping last minute and tomorrow is Christmas Eve!

Pepper up at 10 - 2 and 4. That used to be on Dr. Pepper advertising.

Yep, pretty much. Copious amounts of soda, discount cigarettes, potato chips, frozen pizza etc. Judging from the carts I see at most stores, that's the standard diet of the average Ashe County family. Only place I've ever seen a woman (teenager probably) pour Dr. Pepper in a baby bottle.

I wish I could have avoided it but my elderly mother asked if I would go get a couple of gift cards for her and I am a good daughter so off I went. The parking lot was full, the aisles were crowded and lines were long at checkout. Some fool who couldn't patiently wait his turn started screaming "more cashiers!". It scared the woman in line in front of me so bad I thought she might have a panic attack! And btw, full credit to Walmart because they had almost every register manned.
Anyhow, I have to say how surprised I was at the sheer amount of full sugar soda pop people were buying too. Does the average Ashe County citizen celebrate Christmas by drinking 10 Dr. Peppers? It sure looks that way.
